Hey,
I just want to say, that I allways enjoy it very much to browse through my chill music collection, allways exploring new corners, new sub genres, new stories: falling in love with a certain vibe, collecting other tracks of this kind ... allways new explorations, over years. Only the ultra-diverse chill out music can do this
Maybe anybody enjoys this too? |

Very much so. Especially sometimes chillout music doesn't hit me straight away and lies in my collection unappreciated for a few years but from that corner it comes to my attention again and really pushes all the right buttons Love it!
  Wait.....What? |

Since I often only keep the tracks that I really like from an album, it becomes essential to me that I find some way to "rediscover" tracks later...so when I'm reviewing tracks to add to my library, I often add them to playlists based on how they make me feel and then later play that playlist on random. I've "rediscovered" things in my collection this way more times than I can count! What a treat it is.
I agree with Abasio that something that barely grabs my attention at first acquisition will then captivate me upon a later listen, when my ear has become more fully attuned
Relentlessly pursuing quality chillout. It can be a full time venture.

The adventure for me begins, because I have a number of subgenre based folders for my chill music (yes, I have all my CDs ripped and listen to them as mp3). Some of those folders I touch very very rarely, but when I browse through them sometimes I am so surprised and pleased to find tracks, which touch me in a way, which never happend before. Total new experience and that after aound 10 years of collecting. And then it begins and I am trying to find tracks catching up the same expression as the one I just stumbled up. A process of joy. |

This recently happened to me. I decided to put Omnimotion's "Dream Wide Awake" album on. I never really took the time to understand this album, but for some reason, it worked. It's a gorgeous album. Can't understand why it didn't hit me the same way before... |
