Just got this album recently and I was completelly floored when I heard how good it sounds.
Melodic, mesmerizing sounds that are oviously amied to pack a big psychedelic punch.
Cool samples too. One of my favorites is a track starting with the sound of airplane in the distance that's fading away as the plane is flying further and further away..very fitting for the album called Flying High 
What really amaised me the most is that this is released in 1992 !?!?!?
Fuck if this was released now it would have been the bomb, but 17 years ago? That's unbelievable.
Just ordered his second album Global Chillage too and recently also got Dreamfish, another classic of Mixmaster Morris he released together with Pete Namlook on FAX label.
I wonder how his other albums sound, especially Quiet Logic album he made with Jonah Sharp. |

Thanks for posting this. "Flying High" is one of those albums I always mean to get, but then forget to do so until someone happens to mention it. "It's Tomorrow Already" is an evolution of Global Chillage that's a little more accessible which probably explains why it got some mainstream attention. That said, ITA is a wonderful album that is a "must have". If you like "Dreamfish", be sure to follow up with "Dreamfish 2". Where Dreamfish is the audio equivalent of a lively and colorful saltwater tank teaming with different little bits and pieces of activity, Dreamfish 2 is the audio equivalent of descending deep into the ocean and hanging suspended in the slow ebb and flow of the ocean around you. |

Cool Thanks for your recommendation. I'll look those up
Totally looking forward to discovering Morrises other work
For some reason Flying High reminds me a little bit of The Infinity Project - Mystical Experiences not so much in the way they sound (both are unique in their own way), but for that psychedelic and hypnotic quality effect on the listener along with "trancey" sounds.
This album is probably my discovery of the year |

Glad to help! Your comparison of Flying High to Mystical Experiences only makes it more difficult to hold off until I can responsibly buy more music. Glad to see I can find it fairly easily though. |

Yeah, I paid a hefty price for mine since it's the original Rising High records version, but you can find the vinyl that's less expensive or re-release editions on Apollo or Instinct records that won't make a huge dent in your bank account.
