Antiworld In Collaboration With HOMmega Productions Present:
*The International Indoor Festival The Winter Edition: Saturday 3rd February *

After the incredible sell out session that had The Coronet rocking to its foundations, Antiworld is already building towards another huge party in one of London’s biggest venues. Starting the most exciting time yet for all involved, the sights now are set on the mammoth 070707 festival which is already one of the most talked about events happening next year. But before that Antiworld returns to the SEone Complex, one of the flagship venues over the last 4 years of outstanding parties, for the 15th and very last time and the final gathering under one roof too.

For those interested in some figures, how about this: The Winter Edition will have 5 rooms of music, 80 artists and 3000 clubbers descending upon the SEOne with music ranging from psy trance and progressive psychedelic techno through to hard trance, techno, acid techno, chill out and so much more.

It’s a veritable brace of global music talent showcasing on February 3rd, bringing in the very best live acts and DJs around. The Main Stage is a mouth watering proposition bringing in simply the best psy trance acts on the planet today.

Eskimo Live is one of the biggest performances that exists and continues to devastate the biggest dance floors over the world. He is one of the biggest psy trance producers and performers and his music attracts listeners from so many other genres that it is almost impossible to label him from any scene. There’s a very warm welcome for Domestic, a veteran artists in the Israeli trance scene. Expect to hear some new tracks from this prolific and much respected artist.

X-noiZe are literally the hottest new prospect on the Psy-Trance scene at the moment. Hailing from Israel, the undisputed home of the genre and to many of the biggest Psy-Trance acts on the planet, Barak Argaman & Nadav Bonen have already gained themselves a reputation for their outstanding production, infectious grooves and hypnotic melodies which has earned them the respect of their peers and acquired them the appreciation of a global audience. Their debut album 'Mental notes' has been widely acclaimed as a breath of fresh air. Signed to the world renowned HOMmega label and management agency, X-noiZe are now busy touring the world and working hard in the studio on their 2nd album. These guys are not to be missed.

There’s also Russia’s incredible Timelock, the Israeli trio Krunch with support from Dejavoo, M-Klome, M-Theory, SINEWAVE and DJs Metaphase, Simo, Sutekh.

Over on the Progressive Psychedelic Techno Stage, headliners Ticon from Sweden are leading a massive lineup followed by V Tunes, DJ Nadi, DJ Buju, DJ Sinan, Off The Record and Nic No Name.

Firefly & Teknoworld look after the techno side of things with guests Speedy J (Live), Marco Bailey and Johannes Heil (Live) who will smashing out fierce beats all night long. Support comes from Trash Jelly, Ross & Moon and Julian Gas.

Legends Hybrid and Breakfastaz take over the Tweak and Bleep stage and this room will be rammed from the off.

And the Trance Stage, hosted by London legends Escape From Samsara, sees a seam bulging brace of talent including K-90 Dj Set, Chris Liberator, Adam Lab4, Mark Sinclair, Tim Samsara, Beamish, Darren Shambhala and Prozak.

Here is an interview with the swedish gang - TICON
A small teaser b4 we get to hear them LIVE!

Enjoy

TICON

Ticon are setting new records by demonstrating a unique sound from Sweden. Filip and Fred work together as Ticon, to create the much needed dance floor mayhem. Having seen them perform at various festivals it is evident that the Antiworld party will be showcasing Sweden’s best live act to date. In this hilarious interview Filip from Ticon explains their existence and the explosion they are about to cause to the dance floor. Meow.

How did you collaborate and form Ticon? What are your similarities?

We met about 12 years ago when we both went to parties together, we both enjoyed the electronic music so much, that it was natural for us to start producing ourselves. Our first few tracks sounded just terrible and we had several names before our breakthrough with Ticon. After many years of building not just our studio but also our minds musically we got it together and released our first single on Swedish label Digital Structures in 1999. As a team we actually work really well together despite the fact that we spend more time together than with friends, girlfriends and family. We don’t know why but when it comes to music we just click!

What does each of you contribute to your live set?

We work with 2 stations, Fred works with the big mixing desk and handles all the channels of sounds in live and I (Filip) work with a smaller midi station tweaking sounds and also singing through a vocoder. Once a guy said to us : "In Ticon, Filip is the monkey that jumps around and Fred is the one that controls the live set" Maybe that’s true

What is your favourite gadget among all your studio equipment?

Our favorite gadget is our studio cat that we keep in the closet, when we need a really cool sound we take him out and put some mustard in his ass. That really gets him going and all we have to do is sample the hell out of him. Damn I just revealed our secret for success!!

What is the Ticon sound? Is it more towards hard trance or progressive trance?

We try not to specify our music into one special genre, its better to keep the doors open. We want to be able to do what ever we want musically.

How do you protect your equipment when you travel abroad?

We have 10 equipment guards and 2 tigres protecting our stuff. In our studio we keep all the people that have gotten too close and died. They make good food for the cat in the closet. he he he

Some words from our Swiss Golden Boys - V-Tunes!

Enjoy!

V-TUNES

So you think the best things to come out of Switzerland are cheese and chocolate? Think again! Swiss maestros Sando Kulka and Hans Muster combine the technical skills of the former with the classical training of the latter to make some of the most eclectic progressive psy trance around. Welcome to the varied world of V-Tunes…
Hi Sandro and Hans, thanks for taking the time to answer a few questions. You’ve both been making music for a long time. For those readers who don’t know you, how did you meet? Four years ago we meet at a party. A friend of ours brought us together, he was thinking, these two guys must make music together!
What made you decide to work and produce music together?
Hans is a brilliant musician, but I can’t read some notes or play the piano. I’m only talented on the technical side with my Mac and a lot of software.

Why the name V-Tunes?

The ‘V’ is for variable and tunes... it’s obvious!
How would you describe the V-Tunes sound?
Electronic dance music with a lot of influences from different music styles like trance, house, electro and also rock and pop.
Sandro you were a DJ for many years and Hans you’ve been in several live bands.

Why do you now make progressive psy trance, rather than any other style of music?

Psy trance was my musical style from the beginning of my DJ career. After a few years we opened our minds and now we also love other styles like electro, minimal house, progressive house and trance.

What DJs and producers have influenced you the most over the years? And now?

In the past, progressive pioneers like — XV-Kilist, Paste and Bitmonx. Two years ago — André Absolut, Infusion and Beckers. Now — Trentemoller, Booka Shade and M.A.N.D.Y.

You’re in the studio 3–5 nights a week. Where do you find your inspiration?

I don’t now. It’s not easy to find new ideas and inspiration, sometimes it works better and sometimes we sit in the studio and nothing works.

What software and hardware do you use in the studio?

We work with our big baby: a Power Mac 2x 2GH. The software we use is Logic 7.1 with a lot of plugs like Native Instruments Komplete 4, Blue, and the Logic plug ins.

What, in your opinion, makes a great track?

I think it is the groove and the harmony between the synths and tones, but the final effect is its meaning to the party people and the DJs: they decide if it’s a great track or not.

You’ve released tracks on some of the best progressive labels around. Which labels do you reckon will make it big in 2007?

This is a difficult question, but hopefully Domo Records ;-) I think it’s not going to be easy to do good business with a label in the next years, what with all these downloads and copies….

Have you made any New Year’s resolutions yet?

What are your goals for 2007? Stop smoking, no drugs and no alcohol……;-) We hope we can play at a few festivals and we want to work on a new album for V-Tunes and make some side projects with other artists.

Your eagerly awaited debut album ‘Variable’ has just been released. How long did it take to put it together? Did you face many challenges along the way?

It was definitely not easy. We had some older tracks we wanted to put on the album but the sound was horrible and we had to bring it up to the same quality as the newer stuff. This took a lot of time, almost more time than making a new track.

Did you have a set concept for the album, or was it a case of fitting as many of your favourite tracks on it as possible?

No we didn’t really have a concept, that’s why we called it variable! Sure we put our favourite tracks on the album, but once we finished the album, we couldn’t listen to any of the tracks from it! We just hope people like it : )

Did you call your album ‘Variable’ because you’re both very moody or are there many different styles on it? Or was there another reason?

The first reason was: all people want to know, what does V-tunes mean? Variable tunes. And also the styles are variable between the tracks.

You’re playing your first London live set at the Indoor Festival on February 3rd 2007. Why should readers who’ve never heard of you come and see you? Have you started preparing your live PA yet and what can your fans expect from it?

We want to play a variable live set, with some album tracks and some new tracks in different styles with a different tempo range. In any case it’ll be groovy!!! Hope to see you there

What a night. We really enjoyed spreading the Dejavoo decadent sound to the masses at this one.
Ticon was an inspiration as well proving that fusing different styles ROCKS!

Nice one to the Antiworld crew proving to be top of the game once more
