Last week I bought a Powercore card for some bugs and had a lot of fun with the Powercore01-
which is an emulation of the SH101. It forces me to playing some riffs of Hallucinogen`s LSD.
With the Powercore01 it`s very easy to get the bass sound from this great song....
My problems start, when listening to the Live Mix of LSD-
the SH101 bass sound becomes a lead sound, with very harsh, metallic filter and flanger modulation-
and this sounds very amazing to me. One of the best synth sound I ever heard:
you hear it best at 5:50-5:58, when it sound solo.
I wanted to emulate this sound with some plugins, but I failed.
Does anybody has an idea for me, or is it impossible for software to emulate this effect.
Is it the sound from the Ensoniq DP/4 or Eventide Posford uses?

That's not the bass patch morphing into that lead. Its a layered resonant HPF lead sound...I can hear at least two oscillators, 8/ve apart, in unison I think, detuned for sure.

I see my mistake.
If you`re right, the metallic sound doesn`t come from the FX, it`s come from the synth!
So I think it must be an FM synth?

Don't sound like FM, good ol' subtractive synthesis.
