I was a member and hated it. 100+ mails on a daily bases. 93% of it was so irrelevant to me, like Parties in Afghanistan and stuff

I think that web based forum is much better and selective. You don't have to download everything that is being posted.

Actually I think that this Forum killed it.
The list is theorethically alivebut noone uses it, most people are here on the forum.

The list is alive, though very quiet, mainly because of server problems, as I see it.
I like it- I like mailing lists better than forums- and write as often as I can. But I need people to talk with :-)

not so long ago there were quite a few people posting (with somewhat aggressive energy) demanding to be taken off the list and some calmly requesting to be removed..........i don't know what they found so objectional about being on the list?the traffic is very light compared to other lists.only annoying thing i find is people posting to the list when they want to unsubscribe(or is that the only option available?)

It was over 5 years ago that the GTC mailing list (and the guidance of Shahar) helped me along my path to this music and culture and enivetably, a lot of positive growth in myself.
Soon after, I was turned on to the Dark Side... The 604 list... |
