well has anyone got the Mopho by Dave Smith and any impressions on that little analog baby ? im very curious and interested on that

I had a friend's small desktop unit (the first that came out) for about 6 months. Its good bang for the buck, but I did not like its interface + the digital, non resonant high pass filter + the distortion was digital.
The feedback delay was cool though.
I think there is a good editor for it out now, so programming it should be more fun. For the cash and regarding it is a hardware hybrid synth, its hard to beat for big monophonic sounds.
To be honest though, I did not give it a proper chance and never used it in a tune back then, as I was too busy using the Juno 60 I got the same day as the Evolver.

Roland's masterpieces are the TB-303, TR-909/808, Jupiter 8/6, Version 4 MKS-80, System 100m/700, Sh-101 and Juno 6/60/106.
The only great thing about the V-Synth was tthe Variphrase technology that was included in the early 2000 (I think) with that extremely expensive sampler (VP-9000 was it? we had one of them in Uni) that went down in price in no time.

Yeah,u need some time with it,about one week.
Well,i love it. Good synth for good money, and stable as fuck +the sequencer is really nice, could have had some more knobs maybe, but i suplemented with the novation nocturn. And i love the curtis filter,i believe its the same lowpass filters as in the sequential circuits.
Would not trade it for anything, well maybe a moog voyager, but then again i can use one whenever since my mate got one.
I think all synths are good and most of them can reproduce most sounds.
So this is more personal taste i think.
I kinda like the TI.
And i would love to have a prophet desktop

Hey! You forgot a few
Sh 1/2/3/5/7, specially the sh-5 is a monster.
And the mc-202 must be mentioned, if not for it's sequencer then def for the sound.
Cr-78 the "early 808", and tr-606 are worth a mention too.

The "real" system 100 is a favotite beast although not a real modlular as the 100m. And you need both the 101 and 102 for it to get that serious power though.
The VP-330 Vocoder Plus is just simply lovely but fetch a silly price today.

If I could choose 1 synth makers models only, it certainly must be Roland (sorry Alan and Bob!).

+1, although Doepfer would be really close (to have over 100 modules? ). I don't think I would be able to make up my mind..           You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?

best synth ever

Now shut up and patch..           I don't use ideas. Every time I have an idea it's too limiting, and usually turns out to be a disappointment. But I haven't run out of curiosity. -RR

I have a Korg Radias synth and I use it a lot in my tracks.
It's great for pads,leads,basslines,noises,FX,vocoder.
I think its the perfect synth for psytrance
