So lets say you want to be a DJ or an artist in Greek psychedelic trance. What do you think will be your future. Do you think you will have any luck here or world-wide? I think not. I wish I was living in UK or Germany. |

Look psypunk..If someone is artist or dj and he/she is good at his/her work,he/she will have future in this scene..like Wizzy noise,Andromeda(arara) (they are from Greece)! The artist-dj must have patience!!!!Finally as 14-year old e-tard says don't quit the dayjob!!!!

Thank you guys. It's too bad that is difficult to make our dreams real. Of course I was saying that you will live, earn money by that(DJ or artist). So I'll keep it for hobby and my friends, better! |

Yes psypunk, this is a very good hobby not a job!!!!!!!!!!!If you see it like a job, you will not have future and you will burn!!!!!!Sometimes you will get some money for this but don't forget that it is a hobby!! And Absolut this scene has future but always someone want to destroy that scene for many reasons......(DRUGS,MONEY....)......

Maybe you should stop thinking about what the scene can do for you and start thinking about what YOU can do for the scene.
If you are just talking about playing music to a bunch of friends and just having fun with it in a couple of bars and clubs in your hometown, I don’t think this is such a difficult thing to do but plz don’t tell me that the problem lies in the Greek situation.
The whole world (and not only Greece) is full of kids dreaming of careers and bookings and releases and they want it fast, they want it now, they want everything done by their twenties!
You want a career?? And what are YOU willing to sacrifice for this career thing?
Is it just dreaming and nothing else? Do you have any goals?
How much of your personal time can you devote in making it happen?
How much effort can you put in reading, listening, searching, practicing, and expanding your knowledge instead of uploading spare unfinished tracks once in a while to sit and wait for the applause?
How much money from YOUR OWN POCKET can you invest in buying all the equipment needed and updating it properly and constantly?
How much time can you afford in meeting the right persons, keeping touch and collaborating with more experienced ones and providing YOUR help and support instead of demanding it from the others?
How much courage can you handle for promoting yourself the right way, the professional way, with a decent bio and a worthy full demo for ppl to listen at and take it seriously?
How much maturity can you implement in not giving up and trying to make yourself better and better when the doors are closing onto your face? And what about your ego? Do you think you could put it down for a while?
How much do you love what you do and how long are you prepared to wait until this career could earn you a living?
I don’t see why Greece is your problem, you say you wish you lived in UK or Germany, so if a career is there for you what are you waiting for??
You also write “It's too bad that is difficult to make our dreams real”. No, it’s not bad at all mate, quite the contrary. Difficulties make you a better person you know.

i think in the uk is better in terms of knowlege and education but dont forget that in the uk there are much more people and a lot more producers/artist so you maybe good but they will be lots like you!
in greece we are less people so less producer/artist so iff you are good you will stand out easely and greek labels will be more than happy to promote you!!
