Review :

Future Sound of Para Halu is the new whopping double CD album of this now solo project of Para Halu consisting of Adam Hohmann, who in the past has provided us many tripped out atmospheric moments. This being the 4th studio album and as the previous albums each of which had a distinctive vibe, it sure has its absolutely incredible uniqueness.

Foraying into more intricately arranged sound synthesis, this album is definitely a fresh breath of air. Right from the start there is an interest level achieved through Forgotten futurist with its driving melodies and intelligent sampling with a futuristic touch.
As the album progresses there are more intricate moments with very well executed ideas, intelligent percussions and funky rhythms. Be it the melodic monster Multiprocess or the technoid In Nomine. As Soha Ne Mondd shifts the drive level a bit higher we are treated to a wide array of well layered complex sounds which moulds into a very technoid Goa-like vibe.

Onto Big trees Part 1 which has a really long intro which is quite cinematic in fashion. As the track progresses it pretty much has the same elements like th previous one. Beautiful melodies, sharp percussions which soon change into a cinematic mode again soon. As it progresses to part 2, the mood becomes a little more sinister with deep sounds, strange fx and samples. The mood changes soon with more melodies and dreamy pads. And on comes a cool remix of Kindzadzas Spirit of the wind from his previous album. The mood is completely different here as opposed to the original. Its quite groovy and funky with intelligent usage of percussions and fx and progresses smoothly with delicate melodies
and pads.

The 2nd part of the album begins with a Live version of Forgotten Futurist. This is a bit more driving than the original with nice synths and an overall feeling of danceability. And then there a quite a few interesting remixes, like the classic Penta one, Fear which has some nice ethnic demented synths, haunting pads and uplifting moments with a mystic touch. As the album progresses we get the very groovy Sudoku which has a twlightish feel. A very interesting remix of the superb Digital Talk hit 'The Keeper' still keeps this album very interesting to the very bone with its unpredictability. It has got this infectious groove which i can see working very well on the dancefloor. The album rounds off very well with a very nice chillout/downtempo track which has this dreamy futuristic feel to start to off with as it progresses into more resonating sounds towards the end with a nice acoustic guitar plucked notes and strumming.

Its very important imo for good music to be out there and appreciated .This album has completely taken me by surprise. A very bold step; complex, intelligent and uniquely fresh. An amalgamation of a lot of influences andideas. Beautiful melodies, groovy rhythms, good use of instruments, tight and sharp percussions and top-notch production. All tracks are quite unpredictable and the usage of samples has been very impressive. Im quite dissed, as to how i missed this one. It might take you a few listens to digest this. But thats how all complex music is...isnt it? A completely fresh and very musical album with a distinct futuristic touch. If your looking for a new and different ride,
You will surely enjoy this evolution! Go for it!

the remix to the keeper blew my socks off - the twisted mushy feelings that adam brings to the original gives this track a very different character ... some kind of monster from a bog
i really like the different takes on big trees walk... the first probably being my favorite - the long cinematic entry combined with those sublime atmospherics just hits the spot
the sudoku rmx is really awesome, i love the way its just super funked out!

forgotten futurist is another steller tune

on the whole, this is a really unique offering from adam para halu, it takes on so many different and varied styles - and im with braindrop on this one - the evolution in the para halu sound is just so damn refreshing!

Yes! Nice review of an outstanding release.
Very happy to come across psytrance like this these days, it is a pleasant surprise indeed. Fresh, innovative, interesting & blows my hair back when listening to it on a decent sound system. Looking very much forward to hear this stuff live sometime!

Favourite tracks in no particular order:

Soha Na Mondd
Kindzadza-Spirit of the wind remix
Big Trees... - all 3 of them
Multiprocess
Rio de Inferno
Penta-Fear remix

Thank you for the music!

8. Big Trees Talk, Old Trees Walk part 3

My fav tune in the compilation.           Mushrooms make you do crazy stuff. Look at Mario he jumps on animal heads and fights with dragons.
