@master beat youīre right, i miss the old style, too. The psytrance today hasnīt melodies and sounds like made from a bad freeware software synthesizer and not from hardware synthesizers like Roland or Yamaha. I ask me why astral projection change itīs style to, they have made soo good real psychedelic trance and on itīs last album he gave artists ala space cat to make remixes for them. |

i like both the old meldodic stuff, but also some of the newer more technoish + progressive ones. depends on my mood. so in general i donīt agree with you since there is so much msuic out there for both worlds |

master beat youīre sooooooooo right, i really donīt no who listen to this tracks today and who beginns with this style. In the songs ala skazy or space cat or psycraft or... there is a bad quality bassline, very hard kicks and rythms and NO melody. And if you look every artist produce the same style, electric universe, space tribe, etnica... All artists who have made perfect music now produces shit! |

Sometimes we need to go beyond the psytrance... open our minds...
There is a lot of good artists out there that are not strictly from psy scene making answome works as well.
Artists that uses psytrance as influence, but merged with other styles like house, techno or electro.
I really dont like the current psy style, specially mostly israeli artists. I prefer the old style, the GOA style...much more melodies, deep, good, really psychedelic... and the most important DIFFERENT.
It seems that this 'current' style will disappear and merged styles will take place.
And it looks good for me.

Psytrance???? THere is not trance in todays trance, it only takes care of the body and not the mind! But not to worry man we are working on it and like us many more, it will change, itīs a bad time but out of it will come the good time again!...

Until then search for ambient man itīs much much more psychedelic right now! Itīs the best!

oh i see thatt other people are on my meaning! I fully agree with you!!! I think now the artists are able to make better trance than for 10 years because they have better synthesizers and the computers are very fast to make complex psychedelic synths and melodies, but what happens the earlier style is complexer and there are ore sounds like today!!! i HATE  israels psytrance today, they DAMAGE the psytrance scene as well!!! I hope some of artists know this forum and look what like their fans and beginn to produce the real old psytrance i hope 1 of the artists begin to move this syle bag cut be simon posford - HALLUCINOGEN  |
