Exactly.
Instead of spending most of the time beatmatching and trying to find the record in a dark room, you now have time to actually do creative stuff.

@Psytik, How about something like this.
Could you make this with 8 pairs of cdj's and some samplers while keeping it all tight? I doubt it.
Syncing for basic dj'ing is quite boring and it was not implemented for that cause afaik, but its a great tool when you want to do some more advanced stuff.
I don't think you really understand how powerful software can be when it comes to dj'ing.

Are your opinions of software based on your 3 years of experience from djing?
I can understand that you are proud of being able to beatmatch after 3 years but sooner or later you will probably want to do some more
Speedy J and Chris Liebing are long time vinyl dj's, but they moved over to digital. Why don't you tell them that software suck?
Btw, speaking of vinyl... ->
Want some more? How about Qbert's Breakfast Of Champions
Have a look at the video with Booka Shade as well
And then tell me that software sucks.. Please...

Nope, digging is it.

it realy comes down to who is using it. which tools someone is using is realy not important to me. what counts is your style, your individual definition, your own special sound. last but not least your vision. the you just pickup the gear which works for you best. simple as that.
vinyls can have a special sound, digital loop/sample-based can also have a special sound. its a matter of taste. i would never judge a dj through the gear he uses. a good dj from my point of view is someone who is able to show his individual character and make it functional, including his failures, errors, spontaneours decisions and flow all night long. who is asking about the gear after a great set?
