hi brainlizzard, thanks for moving this thread out of the loop, it was getting a little underhanded for a while, i also liked eyaltov's idea for all you guys doing a party together it's about time the ny trance scene showed the world some positive collective action instead of questioning eachother's good intentions, (just lay your hammers down for awhile and let the music fill your soul!!) namaste

That's an interesting topic but does it fix anything? It could be a slight derailment with penalties leaning towards off topic. To turn that highly subjective negative into a positive, why not call it "Awareness" and reflect at the page number we are on, to help focus on the economy and the local scene :

Third Body - Astral Body - Power, creativity, work, intelligence, expression, Solar Plexus(Yellow), Intuition -Vague sense of knowing that is not specific, Mental Level, One-pointed ness of mind, God of Peace, Restful Awareness Response, through peace, centeredness, self-acceptance, and inner silence.

It gets tricky because this forum takes 15 post per page so in time, if the Math is off, the overtone will not lock beats for dimensional shifting.

eh I appologize for my shanti shanti mask joke, just trying to make light of a derailment in the real topic of the thread not start a tangent..

but seriously, topic was the economy and how it effects the local scene was it not? I actually am interested in the topic at hand, not so much the politics in new york, but how the down turn has effected attendance and what to do about it..

any ideas?           .:.vaxination.:.

I really think everyone needs to lay of the red bull a bit

Guys, do you not see that this isn't going anywhere or sorting anything ? It's just making party goers who read this forum say..

"Wow, Psytrance ? Fuck this scene !" It's like a warzone... I really truely feel that as a psytrance lover that I am and party goer since I was 14.. If this uglyness continues in nyc.. I don't even want to attend any of it's events anymore!

I think everyone should respect everyones opinions.. No one is perfect we all have our flaws and differences, Some more then others.. but really this little war is bringing us nowhere but to the ground... When every party starts having 100 ppl in them then maybe all you organizers will look and think... "Did we have some part in this ?"

I personally know all of you and I know perfectly you all are super cool people and ADULTS. I just wish you all weren't so hostile with eachother. In Portugal which is a scene that has 1000-10.000 attendences Production teams and party goers dont fight.. Of course everyone has something to say about the next and what not, it's human nature..but never to the extreme that this country gets too.I rly don't understand why the U.S.A. needs this hostility in every aspect of our lives ?

Lets all stop stabing at our differences and learn to love each other which is the most difficult.

All have different ideal's, ways of being brought up,cultures. It's normal different ideals in any subject. I think we should all stick to ours..

Have fun and like a good friend said. "throw some awesome parties"

Enough is enough guys.

As for ontopic... I'll write another post later.. I waisted all my energy on this one

Alladin crew needs to lose their shirts on the Orb festival this year for all the lies and deceit from last year..!!

Hopefully they go bankrupt and are never able to rip people off again..I am amazed at the number of people who have shit against them in the thread here!!

BTW was the thread deleted ??

Is that something decent to say about anyone whoever it may be? Are you measuring the degree of the words you are wishing upon someone?

I think things didn't go so right last year in orb festival to a certain degree in the line up and certain conditions.. but people live to learn and grow, It's the beauty of life, Throwing a festival is not something that is very simple to do and everyone knows that it isn't only the promotors who depend on themselves..they depend on others to do tasks and when that goes wrong, It's difficult to have mass man management, gaian mind its as does the orb and any festival around the world. I'm sure them and gaian mind are working to make there festival's better every edition.

Want the biggest example of rip off?

Boom Festival

UUuUUUu I said it! The cherished, lovely, amazing, ultra plur festival ppl go from all over the world to attend...

I love the boom festival and I'm proud of the production team(set up/line up wise...) and the mass rave it gets.. it's a truely special festival.

But hey lets do the maths of this super plur festival.

Boom festival had a registered aprox. 50 thousand tickets sold(it sold out this edition) at 100-160 euros(roughly 150-200 dollars)

Now anyone who has had a hand in production knows the cost aproximates of most the artists and the line up in general... seeing most play for admission and flight this I know for a fact.

Now add it all up and bottles of water 2 booms(2 euros) each(aprox 50-70 thousand ppl drinking water for 5 days)... any light on the subject so far?

You can even add up the boom crew which is a bit over 1000 ppl(not the heads.. the work crew) even with that.. cost of material and expenses of idanha a nova location...

the truth of the matter each boom festival profit is in the MILLIONS.. not a few thousand bucks. Why doesn't anyone critisize them... And anyone who has been to the boom festival knows the very poor conditions it has and ppl who get virus's and sick every addition.. which is normal with such a huge mass of ppl.

So why don't they get global critisism ? for making millions every 2 years?

Cliche?

Peace Love Unity and RESPECT

P.S. I hope no one Portuguese or from good mood read this

I'll be exiled from my own country

well the review thread of boom has critizisms but its like over 100 pages long so you get a pretty good mix of rave reviews and pissed people..

no one is perfect, obviously boom is doing something right, though artists really need to charge them rather than playing free because of the opportunity it is. If they are making MILLIONS then they can afford to kick down 500-1000 bucks for a live set. shit the small parties do and we often do it out of pocket because we lost our ass on the show, it seems like the big shows want everyone to play free and the small shows end up paying.. thats backwards if you ask me. artists should charge more for a large show where promoters are making a killing off their name, it just makes sense from a business perspective.

that be like if some pop act charged a small venue an arm and a leg and then did a pepsi tour for free because of the publicity.. it doesnt work like that. pepsi can shell out, mom and pop shops cant..

I dunno. I mean honestly if boom wanted me to play I'd do the samething, its just funny how it works out, I guess we all dont mind being exploited if its by the right mega festival ; ]

from CMeRTb FaWucTa// : attack of the fake isratrance accounts!

from liquid vision : Wow, your English really improved from the first post to the next! Could it be someone else wrote it for you?
Nah, only a fake cutthroat poser would have someone else write their personal forum messages for them....

could it be the same person posting on this thread with 2 different name users ??? Naaaahh , maybe the attack of the fake isratrance accounts ?? Naaahh , or is it the one who got caught just because a picture !!

making a point out off someone english`s writing is the dumbest ever ... where are we ?? kinder garden ?? even my little sister wouldn't do that .. well she did it once but it doesnt count bcuz we were celebrating her bday and she wanted to have the presents before the singing and the cake

i really do hope NY trance scene could grow bigger so all people who give their best effort to have a bangger could walk home with the biggest satisfaction ever ( smiles from the trance family and money in the pockets )

now you guys have an idea how hard it is ..

!!!!! To the men who are maturely attacking each other on this forum. or argue via pm.
CRIS - I think that was obviously liquid-vision's "fake" isrtrance account in which he was making a joke regarding the post above him which is oddly a self-quote.

I agree with CRIS that demeaning or humiliating someone based on his/her English abilities is neither appropriate nor acceptable....however after reading the post I have to say there is an egregious difference within the grammatical/semantic level of the two post and I think that is what liquid-vision was commenting on...the blatant fluctuation of english abilities rather than the lack of english abilities.

And!! don't forget about plur everyone. Plurrr just Plurrr...

Its about the peacceee patchouli and glowsticks!!!! Pluuurrrrr just plurrrr.....

Just a thought, but I think anyone who can pull 50,000 people deserves to makes millions.

Bringing in 100 people makes you a party organizer.

Bringing in 1000's means you are a PROMOTER.

what is this thread about?

isnt damn near everybody damn near broke right now? the economic impacts and other effects of events changes with the size...... I don't quite understand why people pay to play @ Boom, but if you consider the effect of such exposure/"popularity", after you play boom, many artists experience a rise in the number and quality (sometimes translating to being paid more) of their bookings after playing boom....not sure about this, but methinks

For the most part, american psy party promoters/event organizers/tribes put together TOP NOTCH experiences for their attendees at the lowest possible, and often even lower than that, price of admission. Gaian Mind, for me, is in a different category than other events, and for me is arguably worth the price, and I always make a special effort in my mind to MAKE that experience worthwhile in every way, and enjoy the environment as much as the artists....

as far as Orb and Alladin, there are some things I know, and some I dont, so I'll
