Love bird of prey, he does amazing stuff...
I'm quite a fan of Imogen Heap, and I'm going to see her live on the 15th here in Copenhagen, so in order to celebrate I thought I'd share this remix of Hide and Seek with you guys... Quite a chilled one!

@MM that really wasn't a fair assessment of Lunecell or Bird of Prey, but that track you posted is pretty good.
@lunecell If only all of Eskmo's tracks were that sick.
@vonoom beat ya to that one :-p

check out the Kryptic Minds album "One of Us". some of the best moody and atmospheric dubstep around imo. oh and maybe check in on the dubstep thread on oztrance, - pretty much everything i post in there is on this deeper tip.
for the OP, ive been incorporating alot 'psy' influenced dubstep - stuff that'll be accessible for traditional psyheads - into my sets for a few years,... there's heaps of 'psychedelic' influenced dubstep around, but not really any artists outputting it consistently (besides Bird of Prey), so you have to dig a lot for it. but the blessing (and curse ) is that there is sooooooooo much dubstep out there to trawl through.
anyways, here's a few of my melodic selections:
maybe i'll put a mix together,....
oh and big lols at some of the i-was-into-dubstep-and-now-im-over-it-before-you-were sentiments in this thread

Wonk#ay records got a free release (Wonk#Out Volume 1) with some nice wobbley sounds...
Also check out tunes by Grouch (New Zealand), here's one asswhooping mix (warning: it's techno not dubstep)...
This one however is dubstep...
Also watch out for Chillumafia compilation...
'BASS ENCOUNTERS of the deviant mind' coming soon...

Have to say that Nagual Sound Experiment had already nailed the mix between dubstep and psy-downtempo with Invisible Movements.
Still, am enjoying Bird of Prey and Lunecell... and all that stuff Chillinberlin has been playing. Hopefully tracklist of the Boom set will be released sometime!

Saw Sensient a couple weeks ago in brooklyn - his new stuff is amazing! He goes into strange 2 step & triplet breakdowns in alot of his new stuff.
@maux: I love burial, shackleton, appleblim, scuba & the skull disco type sound. It's super minimal though. I like what Bird of Prey is doing right now with his sound - it's a great fusion of chill out & psychedelic dub sounds. I don't find it to be cheesy - I think it's def more upbeat & less darkroom dub.
This is my favorite bird of prey track right now - complex layering going on
