Futurephonic are excited to announce that the next artist to host a Psychedelic Trance Masterclass will be none other than the legendary Dick Trevor!
Well, what can be said about Dick that hasn't been said already? A true Psychedelic veteran, Dick has been a stalwart of the scene for nigh on 20 years. From starting the full-on project Green Nuns of the Revolution in the mid-90's, being one half of Infernal Machine with Simon Posford AKA Hallucinogen, right through to Circuit Breakers with Burn in Noise, AMD with Aphid Moon and Trickster with Tristan, not to mention his own solo project Dickster, he has remained firmly at the cutting edge of the Psychedelic Trance world from day one. Dick is now signed to premiership label Nano Records.
Dick's going to be giving us an inside look at how he builds his blistering tracks that have resulted in countless collaborations with the scenes biggest players, with releases on labels such as Nano, Twisted and Dragonfly to name just a few. We will be diving in to the depths of Psychedelic Electronic production as Dick shows us how he uses his years of experience to shape his monstrous sound, plus answering your questions in real time throughout.
Where we've deconstructed tracks in previous Futurephonic Masterclasses, this class will be all about building. In the full three-hour class, Dick will show us how he builds all the essential elements of his tracks, and will ensure that you walk away with a sackful of professional tips, tricks and techniques you'd spend years discovering for yourself.
As the live sound engineer for the Shpongle tours, what Dick doesn't know about sound isn't worth knowing, so join us on Saturday 23rd November for this unique interactive event as we put a true master of Psy Trance through his paces.

i would love to watch all these masterclass's, unfortunatly my wife would go crazy at me if she saw id spent that much on this.

nice concept, more big name producers should look into this way of making money. but 8 persons in a class paying 165 pounds each for a 3 hour class is maybe a bit over the top.

Nothing with making a bit of money. At least he's earning it and not bludging like most.
Not that I'd pay, since GNOTR ended I've not enjoyed much of his work at all.

he is great producer no doubt..but i like more is 90s production personaly than the popular hyped plugins/virus sound production of his today work , i can t stand that sound caractere anymore even if the production is really good |

200 euro to learn that in your studio you are alone with your ears and acoustic..and that all that matter  kidding but really it s all there when you know how to tweak a synth a little |

your paying for someones years of experience and all the production tricks and secrets, so its probably worth it.

Unless he can actually teach well then all the experience in the world in studio won't necessarily make it good. I have learnt a lot more about production ppl with minimal experience but excellent skill in teaching compared to others with decades of studio time under them belt but no ability to actually teach others how to learn or obtain the knowledge.
Either way yeah as long as ppl pay good on this, I was just saying personally it seems very expensive. I did an 8 week night course on production with a person who has decades of production under their belt as well as excellent teaching skills, they have had tracks released on some of the biggest labels in the world, and it world out at $100 per 2 hour session (1 session a week).

always say the same in these topic..always intrsting to learn new appraoche and technics..but personaly i always come back to my way of doing things and it s logical.. as only me know the result i m after... these course are great if you wanna learn to copy someone way of doing things, and then use that in your production |
