yeah so this many people read it and now they believe they must not abuse the planet, that they are not above nature. Soo? where is that? I dont see any change? what has this book given to people? people like to read these kinds of stuff.

Traveller... stop picking at small details in order to avoid talking about deeper things...
I dont care how many people wrote the bible, I just wonder about what were the writings that WERE NOT ALLOWED into the bible... and why.
and another layer in the book... is how christianity is very male chauvinist at its base...
(by the way the book taught me nothing new... it was everything I knew already, just put into an entertaining story)
it might sound cheesy and over simplified when I say it like that... male chauvinist... but its just the tip of the iceberg and a lot goes behind it...

are you sure about what you are saying?
-it may have been like that at some early stage... but whatever that stage was, does not exist today and is not in the actual meat of christianity....

yes i'm sure. well that's what i've been told at school anyways. it's not like i can go back 2000 years and come back with some killer evidence like pics and video (i wish i could), but anyways i guess there's some evidence to this since it was in the school books.. back then slaves and women were pretty much the same thing.. i'm talking about the arc christians..

those writings are called "the apocrypha", and you can find a bunch of them in printed form or online. Try, for example, the manuscripts of Nag Hammadi (Dead Sea Scrolls) for a very different version of the Gospels and creation stories.
As to the Da Vinci Code, it has some interesting ideas in it that I wouldn't discount as 'bullshit', but it's not very well written, unfortunately.
