I'm not saying its a true story... but what about the concepts its talking about....
but yes, the number Phi... 1.618 that concept is mind blowing .... and makes alot of sense...

Traveller.... i noticed in another topic about god -devil... you showed your views.. that both are man made.... I agree....
and thats what DaVinci Code is about if you read between the lines...
That Jesus was just a human... but after he died people started to spread word that he was God's son... and based their whole religion on it...
And designed it in such away that put them in positions of power.....
The fact, in the story, that Jesus may have had a child... points to the fact that he was just a human.... and therefore does away with the foundation of christianity saying that he was God's son / God himself.
If you actually do some reasearch and follow up on some of the historic references that the book gives... they are all true.... and events that actually happened.....
sure, the book itself does make a few guesses, but these guesses are based on true events...

well i liked it a lot, very interesting indeed
True or not, its very interesting to read diferent perspectives of such important subjects
I don´t see the negative aspect of being comercial,if its a bestseller is because ppl read and like it, whats wrong with that?
Also the way it is written makes it pretty addictive

whoever calls it commercial shit or whatever...
has missed the point of the whole book.
the whole book is about how Christianity has commercialized a story into creating power for certain people and systems of thinking.
and the book reveals an alternative way of thinking about things like the Bible....
(by the way the bible is a collection of smaller books.... and there were many many many more than are just in the bible now... so somebody obviously chose which books should not be a part of it) so when we are now discovering the contents of some of these underground documents... you guys then call it commercial?
I do agree the book is written in a way that it can reach a broad audience and thus is a money making book... so yes commercial in that way... but if you really understand the implications of the book, its the opposite of commercial.
Its a book that attacks the basic structure of what we call commercial.
Christianity tries to sell to us that humans are special and above nature... that God created us to rule over the planet. All bullshit.... we are just another species. Christianiy gives us the excuse to abuse the planet. (I am talking about the religion in general, not people's personal beliefs).
This book is trying to show us that god is just man made, and that Jesus was just another human... its very simple.

well doh, don't they teach you that at school there? even better is that people wrote under false names.. you know like the evangelists.. or what ever they are in english.. there's supposed to be 5 of them, right? infact it's pretty sure that those scriptures are work of over 20 people..
