are you done done with the song? if not and your looking for input I just say it lacks a atmosphere to hold it all together. other wise cool. it's not my filet'o fish but i like the sound of the song a lot. it has a industrial old tech sound but without metal (steel, not music) what I mean is the song sounds like someone stretched rubber really really really tight and then hit it. Tight yeah that's it the sounds are really tight (in a literal not slang way) and I like that.

Not done, no, to give a bit of context: I just found a couple channels that I hadn't done a thing to since first writing it, and that includes the percussion elements inside them.
Its only about a week old, and Ive been working on it for a few days pretty intensively. Its likely Ive overlooked a flaw or 2 that eventually will get taken care of.
Its funny you mention atmosphere, I cant tell you how often Ive almost given up on a piece because it wasn't 'gelling' only to pick it back up, tweak a couple things, and uncover the cohesion that was lurking. I guess when I write them there really is a overarching vision at work, but when slogging through the trenches of sound design, arrangment, and mixing, it gets overshadowed by the gruntwork, and hides sometimes
Im happy you found enjoyable aspects even if its not your main bag
