To all you musicans, I was wondering how much time does it takes you to create a good track?

thats true, that why I asked that question, I wanted to see how much time it takes for each individual person to make a track.

O.k...Idan!
First for all I want to say to you that a good
track is in the ears of the listener:)

For me...One week...less or more!

in Impulse Tracker (I'm one of the fastest workers in that prog), I can make an 8 minute long track (including SFX, lines, delays, build, etc) in less than 8 hours (sometimes as low as 2 hours, if I got the muse on my side).

in fruity loops you can double that.

in cubase, you might as well double it again (damn interface which I'll never get the hang of :)), which would make it around 3 days of intensive work.
Definition of intensive: me, computer, coffee, pizzas. maybe some sleep too.

But now it takes me about 1 week. exluding a litle bit of fixing and mixing which take a couple of hours.

It depends on the muse I have while making the track...

I can start a track and hardly finish it after 3 months...

on the other hand I can start a track and finish it completely after 2 weeks and it even sounds better! :)

that's it.

dont know about the other guys here, but for me, it doesnt get that much easier/quicker with experience,... u do get to know your hardware/software ALOT better tho!....
