Well ! My producing studio became minimal:
So most my hardware has been sold(nordlead juno ect...)q
at present:
good pc
bm6a
dt 990
rme400
ti polar
I'm working on the acoustic. making acoustic panels out of rockwool and bass trap.
Later I'm getting a waldorf blofeld, a big knob, A novation nocturn.
Thats about it thats already a pretty descent studio for producing electronic music.

To have a virus ti makes a lot of sense. I just regret I've waited so long to get one. Lets be honest here, you'll get a lot more with a lot less effort than any other synth I had the privilege to use vst or harware. and I certainly don't agree when somet vst are compared to the virus ti. none does as well what the virus does! End of story. And none have such good soundbanks....
now there are still a lot of people with the nord lead 2 for example. somehow I beleive it looks better than what it can do... its great for bass and for old sounds but you can't compare it to the ti.
Old virus are cool but I pefer to use vsts than(eg zeta). the ti is really the one you want.
The virus ti is now used for a lot of stuff but I still use many soft synth. |

3. Sequencers/Daws cubase sx3 wanna have cubase 4
4. Synths - hardware/software novation x-station, waldorf blofeld, korg r3 wanna have moog little phatty, virus ti snow
5. Midi controllers x-station maybe want have a new novation with automap
6. Monitors m-audio bx5 want to have genelec 8240 a

dunno, I just had to, had to, had to. It's not because they are different or something...
Actually, It's because I read thread titled "What is the best synth for Psytrance" and they said there you have to get a virus and a lead

and i have to agree. i also waited too long with buying the virus.

4. Synths - hardware/software
Korg ms2000r
Roland SH-201
Virus B
Alesis airFX

NI Battery

Use the roland sh-201 as controller too, not the best thou
6. Monitors
Esi nEar 05xp.. works but about upgrading to genelec 8040A for nearfield
JBL EON 15" G2 For PA monitoring

Yamaha MG12/4.. just for multiple monitors.. crap for recording throu
Pioneer DJM-600
8. Decks

It works pretty good, acoustic treated room but it needs a bit more treatment.
Oh well.. the wishlist, erhm.. planed studio would take to long to write |
