When the avatars appeard, my first picture was from Stuntman Mike.
And the quote:
"- Are you sure this is safe:
- It's better than safe, it's Death-Proof!"
I really enjoyed the movie. It has many great dialogues that reminded me Reservoir Dogs.
It's not a master piece, but still a good choice.

his influence on Sin City was quite nice imo...
pulp fiction was quite a pop icon...
and perhaps we can see kill bill following the same path?...maybe just not as strong...
the musical side of all his productions are awsome...
  un-fucking-believable |

IMO the last good stuff from him dates from last century (probably Jack Brown). After that Kill Bill was "watchable if you had enough popcorn" and Sin City was a nice adaptation from the Comics, but he as "guest director" on this movie was probably a marketing move (not sure).
So I recommend you to go for his older stuff or just search for something better (won't be difficult to find).
If you ask me for a recommendation on a similar style, but much deeper, more complex and psychedelic I'd recommend "Survive Style 5+":

By the way, Tarantine is famous for copying and being influenced by Oriental Directors (Korean, Japanese and Chinese).

Definetly his old stuff is much better!
It's all about the dialogues. That's the beuaty of it.
Just like the old Woddy Allen!

I havent seen both yet, but I bet that rodriguez planet terror is much better since I heard that they re doing them
generally I agree about tarantino, has been some time since his real good stuff...and its sad but true, but he takes lots of ideas from oriental/asian directors and brings them to hollywood!
