Tom Rowlands & Ed Simons, aka The Chemical Brothers, are back with their latest release. Out mid-June, We Are The Night is the duo's sixth full length proper, which follows the 2005's Push The Button that featured Q-Tip on the hugely popular lead single, "Galvanize."

Recorded 'undercover of darkness in a bomb proof bunker in South London', “the new LP promises to be the duo's finest work to date, featuring twelve tracks of psychedelic warehouse party acid music.

Guests on the album include London-based formation Klaxons, American rock band Midlake, folk singer Willy Mason, vocalist Ali Love and hip-hop musician Fatlip. Ali Love provides vocals for the first single "Do It Again" (out June 4) while Klaxons assists the band in "All Nights Reserved". Midlake and Mason lend their voice in "The Pills Won't Help You Now" and "Battle Scars" respectively.

The duo recently sneaked out an album preview (the anonymously released ultra limited “Electronic Battle Weapon” 8 & 9). Much of the record has been tested out already on dancefloors across the world during the past twelve months.

To celebrate the album release The Brothers will tour North America in September after making several appearances in a number of festivals such as UK's Glastonbury in June. For all upcoming dates check out their MySpace page.

The band's music will also be featured in Ecstasy: Three Tales of Chemical Romance, a movie based on Irvine Welsh's best selling novel of the same title.

Great hypno-funnny-loop in the single sample, hehe, great bass also.. i'm a little less BUMBELE with the vocals.. But it's still a good teaser for the album !

Too much "Mtv" style that the only purpose is to become a hit.

not my cup of tea. (it sounds like R&B without asses and boobs shaking)

well...

on one hand, these guys are my musical gods since 1994..

on the other hand, i find it very hard to like anytihng they've done since like 2001 ....

this single sounds bloody terrible..obviously its going to be immitated like hell by everyone, but it kinda sucks....

bring back Dig your own hole

Oh noooo! This is way worse than expected.

Need to listen to exit planet dust again to repair the damage.

They were my gods in highschool too. We'd even started a tribute band, trying to make sounds on the fist edition of fruity loops. Spent more time listening than trying.

PS... The Sunshine Underground off the album Surrender. Fooking psychedelic all the way!

well

the single is pretty bad , its kind of a bad ripoff of timberlake's "Sexy back",

but the album is actually pretty good, definettly one of the best theyve released in the past years, theres some nice tunes there, including my fave - SALMON SONG
made me pee my pants with laughter
