A friend of mine & I buy a lot of cd's (usually between 8 & 10 each per month); but we have a lot of friends that do not buy anything and only download mp3s. We don't let them copy anything of us. Recently we've made a real effort to persuade them to try and buy a cd at least once every month or two. To our surprise it's gone really well and they are now starting to buy 1 a month, usually added on to our orders (this ruled out the "no credit card" excuse  ); the really surprising bit is just how much they appreciate having the real cd and artwork. One friend has been bitten so hard by the cd bug he is now buying 4 or 5 cds every month on his own.
If it worked for us, it'll work for you, give it a go... if all the downloaders bought just one cd every couple of months (and one less disco biscuit) it would make such a difference.

Hey Lurk, this is great
I also used to burn a lot of c.ds – and when I say a lot I mean a lot.
Never thought of buying. Until once I went to a shop nd bought one c.d
Since then it has become a habit. I buy around 6-8 c.ds a month. I know I spend a lot of money on it, but it’s so fun getting the whole thing – c.d + cover + artwork.

i try to buy as much cd's as i can, but lately, there has been no really good music released that i really liked and worth my money :-\
so this year i bought only 3 cd's.
btw, it's not just cd+cover+artwork, it's a great feeling that you contribute to the trance artists and appreciate their hard work..
also, i like the stickers that you get with HOMmega's cd's

about the friends who don't like trance so much, something like 2 years ago i hypnotized 2 of my friends, that they started to buy cd's more then myself.
