One reads this section and wonders....In Brazil the "scene" is all (and maybe only) made up of parties...parties here, parties there, parties everywhere. There's nothing but parties....maybe that's why we don't have so many projects & djs playing around the world, because they're so busy playing at our own parties that they simply haven't got the spare time to travel around.

But what surprises me most is that ppl still bother opening threads about some specific party....wouldn't it be a lot easier to allow ppl to edit one single topic labeled PARTY (allright, maybe a couple of them because there are several parties over the same weekend)...Since the comments and mesgs are usually exactly the same, no need to allow ppl posting in it....only the organizers would edit the thread title, and we're all set.

But then there's a problem: Since there's nothing else trance-related happening in Brazil these days but parties to talk about, this section of Isratrance would end up displaying only some 4 or 5 threads.

There's no trance-related art to talk about, there's no relevant issues about chill outs, about ambient music, no production issues. No one talks about this or that dj/project but to say "killa" or "sucks". What is exactly killa or sucks is left to one's imagination.

Now, the main benefit out of this Party list is that all this efervescence do get advertised to foreign artists, so it is an excellent media to search for contacts....and again, who gets the benefit ? The parties of course.

Just a thought. But I there's an interesting question: How many ways can you talk about a party that hasn't been talked over in here yet ?

i don t know if you look other country msgs here on isratrance... but brasil is one of the worst.. india has these "laws" .. like
one reply for each topic...
no stupid (KILLA, IT S US, SUCKS) arguments.... it s sad that our country here is full of "puxa-saco" ... some topic of some party has nothing of the party it self, only the line up.. and stupids comments... people are forgetting that trance is not only the friends djs and one big dj from outside.. what about the others?!?!

and please.. not trying to fight.. if anyone get angry with that, so i supose im right here..

cheers...

and again.. we can stop eneter and let the KILLA msgs... for KILLA people           the thing is... nothing is too serious to be taken too serious ehehe

Is it so ? We're not on the same Isratrance then. Take a look at the Israeli, Greek, Scandinavian and Japanese areas to name a few. Take a look at the proportion of party threads x other trance issues. And mainly, take a look at its contents.

Now..there's nothing wrong at the parties themselves, (and I really think you are one of those who deserve each one of them). What is wrong is to crowd up a fórum with nothing more than purposeless cheering, which in its turn is restricted to "killas" when the dj/project is a friend of the author or "sucks" when he is not.

I haven't seen one single realiable and factual critic about a dj/project perfomance in here for ages. Nothing but killa or sucks. And this really sucks.

And besides, this forum imho is not about advertising and/or merchandising. But when you read the reviews about the parties seldom one can figure out exactly what the party was about, and one ends up with the opinion that either we haven't been to a single trance party, or that we've invented Psy Trance.

Yes you can talk about parties. BUT TALK ! for heavens sake. Don't just cut & paste your (or other's for that matter) opinions about another party.

Because once one've read one review about one single party here lately, be sure he's read them all.

And if you haven't read the motto for all regional forums, their purpose is to discuss "all that happens in the trance universë in that specific country".

And up to this moment, there's no "killaverse" nor "suckaverse" in here.

This mesage show us the level of our brazillian users here in the forum nowadays.

Too many party people, crazy for seeing the new topic about the SUPER-TRANSFIG-KILLER international live! on the ultra-master-sound-hiper-hulla-hulla Party. People interested only on getting some VIP's invitation and knowing some superorganizer or some artist (if he's lucky!).

Somehow most of "Trance in World" section turned up into a World Party Promotion Section (but more specific then we have in the main page of the forum). But Brazil section calls atention due to the extreme & appelative FLOOD.

God, people love to thank the organizer for every single extra info they give! Each post, gives space to 20 floods. Nothing against expressing your feelings, but you should ask yourself before: "Does it make any difference posting msgs like: KILLER!! I'LL BE THERE FOR SURE! NEVER MISSS IT EH NOIXXXX" ? 0% usefull.

Anyway, a good thread. Maybe now ppl will think before flooding every single topic (that's if they read this one, since the title isn't some skazi vs gms vs paranormal vs 1200 mic super pary).

Peace and Light to all           we are one.

I don't know exactly what to say, Electronic Bungalow, after reading this thread... I once again have this feeling "we brazilian can't do a thing right - take a look at our japanese, swedish, israeli, martian etc friends... we should be like them and we are not".

Nonetheless, I see your point and I thank you for trying to make us grow in relation to discussions... I'm not being ironic. My only fear is that among isratrance brazilian users only you and few other people are able to keep the discussion in a higher level.

Some way or another, you all belong to some kind of elite, for you have the pleasure of spending a reasonable deal out of your time going to parties, listening to the music of your choice, are educated enough to rationalize and to elaborate about the influences such experiences exert upon yourselves.

And then, having access to computers, you have the gift of sharing your thoughts & feelings with people you don't even personally know, in a foreign language; All this in a worldwide scale.

By no means this is some small feat ! So, what I'm trying to say is "Make it worthwhile" !! All the way. Do not waste such privilege in empty words, easy cheering, harsh & biased criticism.

Since you all seem to love & enjoy so very much these sounds & parties, why not try and spell it clearly out ?

After all, we spend hours & hours sometimes anxiously anticipating a party; Then some more hours living the party and all its environment.

It 's hard to believe that, so many expectations or so many recollections can be summarized into a cryptographic-like single word remark.

It is so little for such a lot !

i dont know if there's much to add here anyways, but, brazil has always been like that, in every subject other than trance. our elite is raised by xuxa, faustão, and some other tv shows. we are not to expect much from the kids. instead of opening their minds in trance parties, they just go back to their little houses watching their little blinking screen.

peace, love & light {wait a second, light? lolllll}

Bungalow, nice job starting this thread. I thought about doing it exactaly one week ago but I am a little cético, so I didn´t think it would make much of a diference, for most of the people that only replay with "Killas" and "Sucks" won´t even read this thread.
Anyhow I agree 200% with you and that way I only post at the TRance section.
Well Peace all

IMHO there are very few brazilians who are actually active users in other sections of isratrance. which leads me to conclude that most of the disscussion must take place in some other forum, as we all know there are quite a few which are brazilian based forums. I can't confirm that as I do not use the brazilian forums anymore. IMO none of them could be compared to isratrance, which to be honest could also be considered as database as well as a forum. a database which has got ALL the information you are looking for realted to trance issues, facts etc... the only thing you have to do is 'use the search'

Subdividing the forum into sub-sections could be a idea that could be presented to the isratrance team, but I do not believe it will happen as none of the other countries have this priviledge/problem.

The bottom line is that parties have got to be advertised here as this is a international forum and is the forum that the 'gringos' in brazil are more likely to use in order to find their parties. but this should not only be THE main feature of this section of the forum.

Motivating others starts with motivating yourself.

there's a lot of truth here...people, isratrance is WAY more than just this section...and EB, you are one guy that i'd like to see taking part in a lot more than you do now...           the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist....

Yes, thanks to you who started this topic.
I always liked the things you said in your posts...

It´s difficult to talk about that...
As a country under development... we have many things in our culture that makes it more difficult for us to see things in a bigger/better perspective...

The other day, a friend was saying that we here try to follow european trancers, like, going to europe and doing the ´´same things ´´ but, they, the europeans, they have all kinds of support for their life in Europe, that us, brazilians, ( and probably the rest of the world) do not have, and WORST - have no perspective of having any of that for a long time... yet. Such as : EDUCATION, HEALTH SYSTEM, ...
The government is there for Europeans and Americans. If they do not have jobs, the government pays you something for you not to starve and go to the streets to beg for money or food.
Brazilians trancers, the ones who can go to parties, festivals, and follow the trance scence in Europe, are the ones who had PRIVATE EDUCATION, private health insurance, private everything. Probably they have a family, who invested a lot of money on their kids,... since age 0.

Im living a dilema like that. I graduated from college, I have a decent english level, I consider myself an intelligent person... and I have no perspective whatsoever...other than working from 8 to 18 to get 3,4 thousand reais, pay 1 thousand rent, 1 thousand gas...1 thousand school... THIS SUCKS !!!!!!!!
The lack of perspective that we have is affecting many young ppl here. In Brazil, specially Brasilia, you either work in the public service, having to pass at a very difficult test in which thousands of ppl go for few spots, to earn a reasonable amount of money, or you have a rich family who can afford to have ppl up to 35/40 years old at home ! If you intend to work with what you like..then youre in even more trouble.

I graduated in Psychology... AND I play at the chill out. I thought: right, im gonna try and mix the 2 things.. musictherapy , right ? Wrong ! What can I expect, to live from that kind of work ? Where would I work ? Would I be able to live from that kinda of work ? NOT

I dont know... I might be running out of the subject a lot in here, but trying to inform you all what we are made of... might clear the idea of why we post such stupid and unnecessary posts..like you have mentioned before.

And i see all this things connected... It´s impossible to criticise the posts without trying to understand who we are, and specially HOW we live here in Brazil.

I think that is it for now.. sorry if i triped over the subject... it´s just that I am one of those who get bothered with the scence here, but i think its unfair to compare ppl here, with ppl from everywhere else in the world , which have 10 times more
support from their government in everything, than we do.

Hoping that things will get better soon,

Bacio!
