Bite your tongue before citing la mafia. Mafia is:
* A secret terrorist organization in Sicily, operating since the early 19th century in opposition to legal authority.
* A secret criminal organization of Italian origin operating in the United States and engaged in illegal activities such as gambling, drug-dealing, and prostitution.
* Any of various similar criminal organizations, especially when dominated by members of the same nationality.
What it is nowadays is the evolution of Italy's methodology in a much more discrete way. It is not a matter of organization, it is a mater of meta-meta-meta-meta-organization! 
'mafia' is alt!
'BRAZILIAN' has nothing to do with this, it's plain stupidity to label a country, a nationality the size of Brazil's, as a whole, as part of a criminal organization like the mafia. V.O.R, Indeed it's all around...

Brazilian Scene it's like a shit, we got one problem last month..normally the "new parties" organizers call to other "partie organizer" to get infos about you... WHAT HELL, if the party organizer are talking direct with the artist.
Why he will call to other party organizer to get information? To get information about you!!! Hehehehhe and if you aren't on this Trance Scene Mafia, your doors are closed! This is MAFIA... This is the Brazilian Scene..

I think this is sord of a culturistic thing, it came from our politicians, then it went to the policemen, doctors, teachers, prostitutes and their pimps, djs and producers, etc.
But there are a feel people out there whom don't sell themselves, just do it for the fun there is in it.
And shit, there's to much expeculation (does this word exist?) cuz if someone says something about dj whatever is the best, then 2 weeks later everybody is saying that.
actually, i'm probably just sayin' this cuz' i've heard it somewhere else, * HA *
