well... for me the best one is Cubase SX... im reading his tutorial and learning about....and i think i'll never learn all about it... infinit options and possibilities...  ...like link two machines... |

btw...... the cubase sx is still beta... so wait for the full one...
i use :
cubase vst32 5.1 r1
sound forge 5.0
reason 1.01
Rebirth RB-338 2.0
wave lab 4.0
fruity loops 3.4
impulse trackr is my main program. hehe
just kiding....

Cubase 5.1, because that's the only program which uses VST and I know how to use 
Moun Tao Pro, because it makes killer basslines!
HALion, to sample stuff.
Waldorf Attack, for weird sounds and drums.
Yamaha CS1x, for the rest (but that's hardware).

they make a perfect music making machine hehehehhehehehe
cant wait to reason 2.0 and cubase sx full one
ps - recycle can make good loops to work in reason
PS - WHY LOL
reason - have for me the perfect interface to build up the track and make drums
cubase - perfect for eq and rewire reason in diferent channels for efx and diferent eq
absynth - nothing to say about this big boys toy
fm7 - perfect pads

like all of you i also was a big fan of cubase
but after playing a little with logic 5.1 idecided
to change it sound a lot better. the es2 synth is the best sounding virtual analog software synth i have heard and it's alot more stable.
i also tried the new sx but it just look difrent
and has a few more extras which don't make much difrens.
also other good software :
pantagon
reaktor 3
native instruments absynth
fm7
junglist
and waves for effects

btw, if you wanna try sx, just install nuendo,
tha sx is kinda nuendo based and even has almost the same interface,..
however we use:
-cubase 5.1
-reason
-sound forge 5.0f (try the 6 demo, very fast and better zoom then 5)
-halion
-reaktor 3
-lots plugz |
