Chebb i Sabbah is always very good, he releases his new stuff on six-degrees-records.. usually a new one every 8 months.. and Macao Cafe 4, the guys from Etnica deffinatelly know quality in this genre.. (sorry to say so, but I like their chill-stuff better than their trance-releases) |

ok I cannot do a final vote yet
ott -blumenkraft was last year, but still for sure on the tops =)
abakus, extremely nice happy music... makes me smile
androcell - emotivision , amazing.. for sure one of the tops
kukan dub lagan - life is nice changes the direction of things.. very nice stuff, up there somewhere too
gaudi - heard samples, sounds awesome.. arriving sometime soon, if psyshop go fast this time
ten madison - arriving soon too.. heard from shitty mp3s, but seems very nice, more jazzy/housy chill from peter juergens..
bluetech seems great from samples.. but no money
ishq.. was it this year? also seems very very nice.. no money either..
and still to hear so that I say for definite:
flexitones (I just like the 'jazzy' descriptions and previews hehehe.. kinda lame cover imo, but lets see)
and
natural born chillers - I confess, Im a sucker for mid-eastern music... Omar faruk, shulman remix? wow wow wow... and all the rest too... |

"kinda lame cover"...
sorry..
I think we'll talk about it later, when the album will be released.. And that we'll be able to build an opinion on the whole work.. But the front picture looks very funny for me.. So.. Let's wait !

yeah for sure, KakoOlalaJwal.. I mean, I dont know about the whole work, we talk when its out.. btw, the samples sound really nice!
and I forgot, I once kinda talked to you heheh.. On transit festival, you and vincent and me were talking to these israelis, and then we went back to our tents (that were nearby), and I asked vincent what kind of music he was playing.. and he also said: 'and if you get bored with my music, you can hear my friend here (pete?haha bad memory) on the chill out' |

Not a lot of stand out ambient releases this year, in my opinion.
Some highlights for me though...
Huva Network - Distances ... probably the best album this year, no doubt. Vince and Magnus did an excellent job with this.. Give us more.
Bluetech - Elementary Particles
The Young Gods - Music for artificial clouds
Aes Dana - Memory Shell
Kaya Project was also very nice production. |

The Phuture primitive and Androcell albums were clearly the best chill albums of 04, the Americans still have their finger on the the pulse on how deep can you bleep acid deep ambience, the French are too moody and the most of europe are just offering us shite jazz in the name of psy ambient. Fuck chill out! fuck the "big chill"!!!! we want proper drug fueled psychedelic music. |
