Why trance artists need sampler? Isn't the most of the sounds are synthesized from the scratch?

i think if you have a talent you can make good music eaven only with softwere only, but if you not have it , so eaven the whole equipment in the world not going to help you.
not that i say you dont have a talent or something... dont get me wrong....
well my advice is: nord lead, access virus, super nova, korg ms 2000..... etc..etc..

T.E.S is right...
u dont have to look for the best when starting out.
u can use the most basic software like buzz and impulse tracker and make excellent stuff.
remember music is notes, afterall, and it doesnt matter if u put them in a yamaha keyboard or a Steinway baby grand - the melody will be the same, only the sound will diffter.
Cheers. |

I recomend you to work with this softwares:
Cubase 5.1 + Lots of plug-ins (DirectX)
Sound forge 5
T-Racks 24Bit (Mastering edition)
Except for cubase those programs arent hard
to learn and Cubase is working better with
A good sound card (24Bit)!!!
Kick it..........

A powerful computer and audio hardware, and especially, lots of knowledge (knowing how to use Cubase properly will make the difference between a good and a bad track, sound quality-wise). Oh, and some talent too.
