The A.U.M Festival
July 25 - 30, 2007
Converging on the Day Out of Time and Culminating with the Full Moon
Centrally located within North America

The A.U.M Festival will establish a safe gathering space that facilitates the exploration of consciousness and connectedness through inspired, underground psychedelic trance music and culture. It will encourage the growth of the North American psy-community; emphasize our ability to heal ourselves and each other; embrace an open, multi-generational perspective; and promote an earth conscious, leave no trace ethic.
The psytrance community of North America has grown rapidly in recent years, and yet because of its geography, the different aspects of it remain isolated. Now is the time to come together to celebrate all that binds together as one community; our commonalities and differences; our shared passions and our unique visions. It's time for us to dance and celebrate together.
As this is a community based festival, we want to hear from YOU!!!
Which North American artists and djs would you like to see represented in the A.U.M festival?
Who do you feel captures the sprirt of dancing?
Woud you like to be involved in the creation of the festival?
We need help in the following areas:

Interesting - it already is! Someone seemed to suggest that it was presented as a noble idea and then dropped. Like the people throwing it were NOT the sort of Trance Troopers I admire and that they might flake out on throwing it. Uhhhh... Well, I don't have any doubts here. Are we clear, MOE? The mission statement presented here - I support. Can I offer you any assistance with the AUM Festival, MOE? Even to come out to it and enjoy, and perhaps even plop some of the Mistresses down in our camp and rub their feet and thank them for a job well done when they prove to be Trance Troopers who made the AUM Festival happen?
Can I bring my Mistress Treva to spread good vibes and good cheer to all of you? She might like that. So would I. Can I come out and help with this, even if you might not make me feel totally welcome because of how I first came across, and try to win you over with the size of my heart and desire to be generous without expectation of reward (other than to be generous to people who could use it and well)?

beautiful  i've been waiting for this thread as i've been telling people about A.U.M. on our eastern coast. count me in at the family area & healing arts. my first psytrance gathering was a safe psychedelic space & what really left an impression on me (besides the amazing music that helped me save my life) is the community i found. *sends email to aumfestivalvolunteers@gmail.com *

So is this festival going to be all-American ?
Is there anywhere I can find a list of current North American Trance producers. Most of the ones I know about are through my circles and they're all inclined to either the Twilight or Russian/Goa side. Can't seem to recall many Morning artists.

I second that Kaiser.
Mexico's got some of the best new morning psy producers in the world (eg.Psypsiq Jicuri,Ecliptic). The US has a solid lineup of Twilight and Dark artists. Canada has the likes of Nuclear Ramjet & Adham Shaikh. Perfect blends. Bring it all together for one big blowout in the sky.... we need at least ... hmm .. 6 stages?

i am not sure Mexico will be well-represented here, due to visa restrictions and such..
but there are some kick-ass DJs up in Canada to make up for that..
and i think there should be a nice balance between light, dark, and umm.. twilight music.
i am sure not everyone mentioned above will be able to make it.. especially since i am not sure if plane tickets will be covered, i don't see how that's possible with so many performers.
and also it would be nice to have 2-hour sets..
..it's just another party.. |
