Wow, this party had fantastic music.
Jahbo truly delivered the meat as we all expected him to. The beginning of his set sounded like all new material, with very subby, low basslines that I don't hear from too many trance artists. Way to take it to the next level J-bo... the latter half of his live set was filled with total Goa Klassiks, it was awesome to finally hear some killer Jahbo and Meteloids classics on a big system being blasted in 24 bit. Best part of his DJ set was a Purosurpro track in the morning that was just soooo blissfully confusing!!!
The real high-light for me, though, was Giuseppe's mind-melting morning set. It was like sucking on a ring-pop made of delicious strawberry flavored psy-trance. That was some of the most delicious sounding morning music i've heard in quite some time!! Highlights were Gidra remix of Derango and Gappeq remix of Gappeq not to mention countless other tasty treats.
Encephalohardtopronounceyrname-- yr music is *awesome* but it would have made all the difference if you had played in the night time. This is my only real critique of the party. It would have made all the difference to my dancing if yr music was surrounded by darkness.
Ohkay I missed Cosmosis but umm yeah that's probably a good thing based on what I've heard about it no offense to this guys music but classic rock riffs over trance musicz just ain't my cup of tea...
Music in the afternoon was awesome, only heard the end of Vasily's set but he has a way of playing full-onish melodies that I have no problem with and really enjoy, especially at that time of day! Fractal C's and GoE wrawk'd it, no surprise, and their music works at any time of day or night, even 1-4 in the noon!! Mubali came on after but i had to start my treacherous drive home back to Vegas so I only heard it while packing and from the side of the floor, but it sounded like funky regal purple dipped in caramel, so yeah... good one bro i love yr day time funky tunes the most...
thank you Twins! |

Wow what an experience.
First off I felt like it was not a party event or a gathering. I felt it was an actual festival, so it did live up to the name. Too many events called Festivals are not actually festivals.
This one was.
Loved the spot, at first it felt dry, but it really grew on me, there is something special about it... THE LAKE was a huge plus, we had some great time there soaking the sun and the water.
I felt that the blend between the two cultures was a very positive thing, the Psytrance community and the Party Russians were welding well. It felt great to me because I am a little of both...
The music WOW
It was Amazing, Unbelievable and whatever superlative you can think of. Seriously the best I have heard in a festival since Universo Paralelo 2006.
My highlights
JAHBO JAHBO JAHBO. A different level period.
The guy needs support to continue doing what he is doing. No words really to describe how good of a realm he created on that dance floor. His music is touching, inspiring and ultra super psychedelic. It is not Dark Trance or trauma no murder or rape to your ears. Just Good ol' Psychedelic Night Music. If you have a chance to hear him play DO NOT MISS IT.
GIUSEPPE. Just really a continuation of great psychedelic music in the morning, chunky, fun took me on a flight for sure. I definitely have the greatest respect to Parvati Rec after this. TOP NOTCH !!!!!!
By the way all the Parvati Rec proved that you don't have to include raping sounds, scary motives, or 170 bpm's in your tracks for them to be powerful, trippy, and heavy.
There is another way.
INFINITE SUN. The Girl started the Psytrance Portion of the festy with a bang.
It is the third time I am hearing her and every time she kicked ass. Great full on for day time. Can I add she is cute which helps
GATTO MATTO. I usually not a big fan of his sets but WOW this time he blew me away. Psychedelic and funky exactly my cup of tea for day time trance.
For sure I will be there next year one of the best Festys I have been in the US.
