ok, so im pulling my hair right now, i don't need to know the basics of it, i already tried it over 9000 times, how can i get that envelope clicking so solid without much layering? i dont want it to be the same but i want that solid pumping sound

something kind of like this

Stuff ive tried:
super short filter decay and hi envelope in syltenth1
(all oscs retriggered)
Layering a typical psybasss + a minimal percusive click

Struggling with the exact same thing. Trying Massive, getting a kind of similar result but not nearly as smooth. I'm having issues with getting clicks and pops with the filter envelope but when I tweak the decay to get rid of them I lose the sound I'm going for.           www.facebook.com/chemogen

take a bass sound you like sample it and put an envelope shaper on it to give it some more attack.
Maybe some parallel distortion/ compression for a bit more bite.

That's sounding pretty good man. I like the way you're layering 3 parts to make one bass sound. Whenever I try layering my basslines (like in that Protoculture tutorial) it just never sounds right so I tend to just stick to one channel and one sawtooth osc.           www.facebook.com/chemogen
