If its negative, and you know what to listen for, then yes it is audible..

Yip.. sitting with like 20 synth tracks and about 30 FX channels some times haha

That all comes to preference in my opinion.. no right or wrong.. just better! haha! In a way, yes it will, because its delaying the time the sound takes to hit the 'wall' or whatever object and come back to your ear

I really dont think these okes sample much hey.. i hear too many synth sounds thats doing many different melodies across there tracks so it cant be one sample.. if you know what I mean

Take time to get that perfect synth sound.. and get it as close at you can to the sound you want, on the synth, before applying any mixing FX

Yep, I'm on a new track now and I watched some theory about melodies and chords which helped me alot to create this two in harmony together with some acid fx swirling in the background

unfortunately the bass sounds odd on my headphones which is a problem I am often confronted with even with room eq it just helped for the last track really, now it better but definitly not satisfiying

what about zap sounds?

at 1.00 and the following seconds love those certain zaps, heard them in variation and same in other tracks not only zyce but I don't want to take samples all the time for this, suggestions on how to get something similar?
I meddled with sylenth but cant really get something out of it, or do I have to move knobs alot for this durung I hit a note?

I think this track is also a good example that the bass does not sound so wide but I didn't really notice at first

oh and just want to say thanks for your last threads you made about the "serbian sound" hehe thats why I stayed hear, made huge progresses because of this, don't want to copy sonic entity or zyce and other progressive I listen to, but some elments are just basic and I don't get tired of, also the direction they take sounds better than those new upcoming prog where (I guess) dupstep sample packs are already sampled to death:D

Leka!

What headphones do you have?

Like this : http://www1.zippyshare.com/v/21631309/file.html

Its all just pitch modding a saw wave through a bandpass filter.. play around with the cutoff and the attack on the filter and pitch envelopes for preference

Glad to help man! haha pity we the only people taking part here though :/ lol           http://soundcloud.com/luciditysa

Thanks, bpf for sure but cutoff and pitch, man I should know something like that

Sennheiser hd 25 II, they at least have loud subfrequencies compared to the rest I would say

I have to look for cheap room treatment as my budget is down due to the montiors I bought half a year ago, should have had an eye on both

yeah I was searching a lot on the web for progressive techniques and tips but all I found which really helped were plucking and sample packs for nice claps/snares

So when I saw your thread here on isra and heard the clip you made I was somehow forced to get deeper into kbbbs and found out about the groove and multiband compression, because it sounded very close but never saw you on compilations(you can btw make your way there I'd say), so it has to be possible even for me to get it rolling:D

Don't forget to add a bit of distortion as well.

I seem to have got closer to the 'stereo' bass sound? Or is it just my tired ears ? :/

Dude this is pretty good. Ive been trying to achieve this kind of bass sound for some time now. Can you explain how you achieved this? Thanks a lot!!

And also your filter effects sound very good. What are you using for that?

Haha shot!

To be honest.. Its just EQ and Comp..

1 - Sylenth1 (get it as close as you can on the synth first
2 - EQ
3 - EQ
4 - and more EQ
5 - Multiband to clean it up even more n make it snappy
6 - Singleband comp to glue it together
7 - and depending on how much attack you've managed to achieve with this string of processing and depending what comps you've used etc, do some slight limiting at the end to control the peaks

Filter effects? Not sure exactly what you're referring to but I have not used any external filtering, everything you hear has been done on the synths.. (cronox, sylenth, zebra2, etc)

Thanks for this quick explanation, but we need your kick to get the same results as you did

Could you get more specific about the eq, do you just listen or how to go there?

Also love you synth works on leads, etc something special there e.g to achieve specific sounds atmosphere?
I basically know how to make the well known stab sound but I struggle with higher octave sounds

also a tip on melody? I know what to use and chord progressions but for a fine melody I sometimes struggle alot
