Also, last I checked a DJM 600 was about half the price of an xone:92. Even the xone:42 is more expensive than a djm 600. I do agree that the djm 800 is overpriced though, but I've never seen a point to pay twice as much for one of those compared to a 600.

the 800 has better sound quality and softer faders compared with the 600. mixing on the 600 is a lot more choppy, the sound is shrill, the EQs are too rough. They are built well however, and last forever.
Ranes and A&H have the best sound quality, but for the money I'll take Ecler or even Denons over the old model Pioneers.

Behringers have terrible sound quality. And the DJX-700 models break very fast. I still own an old Behringer DX500 as my backup mixer, it's almost 10 years old now, but still works fine. I'd never use it to play out because it muffles the sound quite a bit.

I have a (admittedly somewhat old) DJM 600 and all of the faders and knobs are scratchy-sounding except for the crossfader which was recently replaced.
in addition, moving the bass knob on ch 4 from minimum to maximum makes a little bit of a panning effect from left to right |

Pioneer is a good example of sheep-people mentality. Below standard soundquality wrapped up in a package 2x the times of other stuff with better quality. On top of that, stores have like 5% margin on their products. Pioneer are shady....

I'd like to see proof of this.

The 600 is a "bad" mixer soundwise. Compare it to almost any other model, including Pioneer djm 800, and youll hear it!
And Id say the Xone 42 is the comparable one to the 600 according to size and functions. Id take AHT any day...
A friend of mine borrowed me a DJM1000 that I have sitting in my rack, and that shit is NOISY as hell for the price. Not a bad mixer, just way overpriced...
