SO! what are you guys saying about-

Behringer DJm 700

VS.

Pioneer DJm 600

Firstly its the Behringer DJX-700. This is an exact replica of the DJM-600 from Pioneer. But it costed about $180 when it came out so obviously the parts used in it are no where near the quality of the DJM-600.

Over a period of time with lot of use the channel sliders wear off much faster in the Behringer for example. You can rarely hear crackling noises, hiss here and there which proves the circuit is noisy and not well isolated.           "Whoever said the best things in life are free... obviously grew their own bud"

New Pioneer CDJ2000 is here:
http://www.pioneerprodj.com/gear.aspx?product=CDJ-2000&cp=2

And a cheaper CDJ900:

Great to see CDJ has 0.02% pitch precision - something lacking in CDJ800.

I beg to differ on the quality, almost every pioneer mixer I have played on ( a hell of a lot of them!) had either knobs missing or functions not working. If it is quality you want, Eccler is the undefeated number 1!           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

The DJM-600 is an analog mixer and it has very bad sound quality compared to above-mentioned brands.

The DJM-800 on the other hand has an all-digital signal path, which is good if you take advantage of it: Run digital from CDJs into the mixer, then out of the mixer into a high-quality rackmount DAC.

I'm so used to the huge and very precise level meters on Pioneer that I can't mix as well on Rane mixers which only have 6 (or is it 8?) lights. Rane mixers also have EQ knobs which feel weird to me.

Pioneer is a good example of sheep-people mentality. Below standard soundquality wrapped up in a package 2x the times of other stuff with better quality. On top of that, stores have like 5% margin on their products. Pioneer are shady....           http://www.myspace.com/fragletrollet

Check out Allen & Heath, Rodec and Rane for high quality mixers that are still cheaper than Pioneer...           http://www.myspace.com/fragletrollet

I'd like to see proof of this.

Also, last I checked a DJM 600 was about half the price of an xone:92. Even the xone:42 is more expensive than a djm 600. I do agree that the djm 800 is overpriced though, but I've never seen a point to pay twice as much for one of those compared to a 600.           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

Not from what I've seen. Rane has a 3 channel mixer for around $1k usd and a 2 channel for around $750 usd. Even the 4 channel, djm 600 is less than their 2 channel.

I think some people just like to hate on the big dog .           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

I'm no expert on DJ-Equipment, at all. But come on people, there is something about mixing on a Pioneer DJM-800 tha blows all other competetors out of the way! It's fantastic to use when you wish to effect and fuck up the music your playing, and you can do multible effects at the same time and it works like acharm with your hands, very easy to manouver around and make starshit happen.

I was just a few days in a DJ-shop asking questions about Pioneer, and since them having sort of a monopol on the marked, they can take whatever price they wish. The DJM-800 which is aages old, is still raising and maintining in price. Its sick! .. Also the shops taking them in make like less then 5% on them, so few shops are willing to buy in a lot of pioneer.

still, I want a pioneer DJM-800!! Or a Ecler, I hear they got god set-up for effect mixing.
