Psytrance is the one and only genre that made me start to make electronic dance music, and so far it is the only genre were I still have managed to make something listenable.
Serious problems here!;)
What I talk about is of course the "up&down, up&down"-patterns heard in most Psytrance.
Example:
From 1:08 and so on.
The big question is of course; what do i have to do to make something like that? Is it a melody, or is it just lots of fx on one sound?
The results will of course be posted here;)

Hmm, sounds like a narrow pulse wave, bandpass filter, middle to low cutoff, and high resonance and some distortion.
Then if you would modulate the cutoff by an lfo and add a gator (like Camelspace's trancegate) and a phaser, that would probably get you somewhere near, I think

Sounds logical=)
Maybe a small amount off pitch modulation/automation also?
