hey there

there is already a mp3 release out there and ive heard it

basically as it was said previously in this forum, its another formulaic psytrance album. the only difference is that we have dennis tapper doing this shitty music, so you have an excellent production and composition for an awful style

4 years we waited for this...

mmm i consider formulaic psytrance to be shitty, and if im mistaken may god strike a lightning in my eye .

anyways read my whole post, i pointed out that this album is perfectly composed and produced, the style is the problem.

i didnt like it at all, and i dont mind if someone likes it, but for me its a big big dissapointment, especially if it took 4 years to be released

compare this album to cryptic crunch, its like a whole different band. before this album i was dying to see hux flux live, now it doesnt make sense at all.

long live idiot, bring your own bios, etc

Well, I am a big fan of dark, evil night-time trance - Danish music and Swedish StoneAge records style, and old Hux Flux. I didn't like the new album at first - it wasn't what I was expecting, it was slow (low 140s) and almost morning style. But I listened to it again, and again, and again, and kept listening, and each time it got better, and deeper. About half the tracks are good - really, really good! Unfortunately, some of the tracks are pretty formulaic and commercial. Still, it never hits cheese, and most of it is HIGH quality innovative psychedelic trance.

Well worth buying, imo.

Thank you Dimitri. Exactly what I was going to say.

I got it yesterday and blasted it in my car. First I thought, "hmmm, ok. It's alright" (that's what I thought after listening to Cryptic Crunch the first time too). I listened to it again on the way to work this morning and man, I love it. Hux Flux kicks ass. Great album. So pychedelic and trippy. I couldn't stop dancing in my car. People were looking at me like I was crazy.

Filter - Regardless, calling anyone's art shitty is rude and uncalled for. Saying you didn't like it is another thing.

Also, from what I understand, Dennis had personal problems that delayed his album for a while, so it's not like he worked on it for 4 years straight. And even if he did, to me it is worth the wait.

And all trance is formulaic. That's what seperates it from the other music styles. I guess I should say sorry this doesn't fit the formula you like.

I Agree with Uncle Bob
Of course is not the same hux flux we listened during the cryptic crunch days and that may dissapoint you, but keep in mind that 4 years had passed, and for sure lots of things happen during 4 years, even tastes tend to change, I guess the hux flux guys tried to give a final product made for the tastes of all the psy people, that's where the so called "formulaic" thing comes, but still after listening to this album over and over again, i find those classic twisted hux flux sounds we loved so much.
So I guess the best you can do is to give it a listen with a good open mind, you'll see is not that bad, but a very nice cd, deep, hypnotic and still very weird.

That is extremly rude. If you made music, how would you feel if I called your passionate work shit?

ok i wont argue that im right to use the term shitty, but its still a shocking change, almost as if its a different band

i listened to it several times, and i noticed the very good composition and production, but the style is so empty and shallow it just makes me bored, it even has some housy samples and percusions and we are talking about the same guy who did idiot or bring your own bios!!!

i know things change, but i would never imagine something like this           Psychedelic Trance from Argentina

drop the shit, this album is excellent.
dennis tapper wearing the 2003 trenchcoat. as different as the sound might be than his old album, there's dennis' signature in every tone. its the best thing ever done in this "fullon" thingy. formulaic? no way. imo

rate 10/10 for an album that keeps me interesting throughout the experience.           Anakoluth A Pebble in Your Eardrum's Shoe since 2001!
