at this point i would like to point out that it is not only your speakers you are listening to, but also the room you use them in. you can have the best speakers that in an anechoic chamber will test perfectly, but when put in a normal room will have a less than favourable sound because of standing waves and flutter echoes etc. I would also like to add that using swept or narrow band sine test tones is only really useful for testing harmonic distortion. if you want to get a good idea of your monitors response in conjunction with your room it is advisable to use a swept pink noise signal since this contains the most evenly distributed frequencies at a given pitch and a linear response mic. This however goes beyond the scope of this simple hometest but should you find anything amiss using the above mentioned url perhaps gettin out ye olde measuring mic would be a good idea.
