It seems as if there's a sea of tracks with samples from Terrence McKenna's talks. He is definately someone who's inspired me, and whenever I hear his voice in a track (especially when i'm in an expanded state of mind), I always laugh and feel at home.

So, what are your favorites?; I want to collect them all

I'll start the list with a couple classics:

"A New Way to Say Hooray" by Shpongle

"Ground Luminosity" by Entheogenic

hehehe Hello.
We just finished a track using Terrence voice with my friend from Chilled C' Quence (Pt).
This track is called "Power of plant".
Our way to say enough of deforastation ,and maybe enough that we do not have the choice in this world.
The choice of which way we could take care of our body and soul.
Ayauesca is more than an illegal substance.
it s a sacred plant at least to our eyes.
Hope you will enjoy the track and thanks Terrence for being such a good narator and inspiration source for so many artist.
Respect taj ;-)

A few "oldies":

Spacetime Continuum & Terrence: Alien Dreamtime, from 1993

The Shamen & Terrence: Re:Evolution (there is also a great Remix by Future Sound Of London, I think it's called Re:Iteration), from 1992

Hallucinogens second album features Terrence also. I think the first one too?

have fun!

to be honest i am really tired of musics with terence voice, there are few millions of people ,films, narrators, bitches, priests, cartoons, art,so why psychedelic artists just sample that voice?and the worst they sample the same things always,i am tired thats just not saiko anymore thats the repetition of the repetition...anyway i think the best one is re:iteration the fsol mix for the shamen...without a doubt ,and the alien dreamtime is so good due to jonah sharp work

peace.....gabi

i m slightly over terrence s samples. unfortunately he s no longer in this plane of existance so most of what he s said has been heard again and again. dont get me wrong i do like many tracks that have his voice in them but i think artists should look out for new voices. we discovered a guy called strephon caplan williams on podcasts and he says some excellent stuff in a really humorous way. and there are many more!!! the advantage of having alive people say interesting stuff means that you re continuously finding new material.

....I would say I am over Terence samples too (did use myself some too off course)....but I actually think that it's not us using Terence voice....but more the Terence spirit using us to keep talking (he defenetly had a sort of verbal diarrea)-
It's coming in waves....now Alan Watts is riding...
those spirits are not dying....and their message is still very alive and actual....I prefer some old classic repeated than some bullshit sampled from the last DVD in the house.
anyway....it works a bit the same with synth sounds or basslines....somehow they tend to be the same over and over....

there s plenty of excellent documentaries, movies, podcasts, speeches, of really great people talking about excellent subjects. the same voices saying the same things over and over in soooo many tracks in sooo many styles just gets a litlle boring and kinda kills the message i find.

this is madness

for the love of holy jesus's balls, if there are sooooo many tracks with terrence mckenna, why can't anyone NAME ANY?!

thats fine that you are sick of terrence mckenna; that point has been made by a few people in this thread already. but can you please stay ON TOPIC and actually contribute something to the discussion?

hey gaspard:
......instead the same same bassline on the 16 note and a kick on 4 is not boring hey ???
there are 12 notes (more if u go on arabic scales) and plenty of combinations but you (trance producers) all stick to the same grid formula...it is now more than 15 years stuck on this....ahahahah...what a joke !
do u really think that an amazing cool vocal sample will make this music less boring ?

for vector:
sorry if I went again off topic...anyway...my tune with terence voice is "A lot of Sound" that is on 2 compilations with 2 different remixes....I can send it to you if you can't find it...just let me know...

ciao
