I've been considering buying a _real_ soundcard instead of this crappy creative audigy (f'king lousy fixed rate 48khz recording...). I could get a decent deal on the phase 88 rack firewire. Is it any good? Does anyone have it? I have couple of synths for which I need multiple inputs for, so 8 inputs should be enough for a while.

How are the midi drivers? How's the latency? Have you noticed any jitter? How low latencies you can use it with (of course this depends on the cpu load, too)? Any problems with the drivers in general? Crackling? Crashes? I'm using winxp and cubase 3.

Any insight appreciated! Thanks!
