Hi all,

This demo isn't actually available for download at any official site as far as I know and was requested @bassline thread so here it is...
http://www.quickdump.com/files/363357630.html

Very nice synth, basically a Waldorf MicroQ emu that can also import MicroQ presets (not the demo tho...)
Been under development for quite a while now. Retail isn't out yet (I think).
Anyway...just try it

ooooooo, a microQ emulator... nice

in fact, it doesn't have to emulate a lot, since the micro Q is already almost entirely digital (i think only the filter is analogue...), it was just necessary to 'port' the programming code to pc... (not changing the essence, but the container, so that it fits on another machine, in games: like a console 'port' to pc) and then emulate the analogue filter...

But that's just geeky nonsense anyway

Extracted from Waldorf forum list - read here:

And about TerraTec's KOMPLEXER? I know it's a Waldorf-based soft synth, I myself got the demo version on somewhere, tried and I liked,
again for "Waldorf's Experts": does it sound like a Waldorf or not?
Has Someone from Waldorf implemented this synth?

Yes it does if you mean the character and the basic architecture. It is
(thankfully IMHO) not an exact copy of any Waldorf synth. The KOMPLEXER
can import microQ sounds.

Stefan Stenzel has implemented the synthesis engine.

Achim.

So, you can think in this way, but this VST soft it was designed to sound differently. Even so, it's able to load Micro-Q sounds.
The synth's designer was Stefan Stenzel, the same guy behind Microwave XT and Q/Q+. THAT'S, THIS GUY IS THE "MASTER DESIGNER PROGRAMMER" BEHIND THE AMAZING WALDORF's SYNTHS! Stromeko is another guy from Waldorf company.

micro-Q is a totally digital synth. The only synth with analog filter from Waldorf, that's available to sell on shop, is the model Q+ (it has modelled filters and the analog ones). The old products from Waldorf (Wave, Microwave I and Pulse) have analog filters. Microwave XT/II e micro-Q/Q have the digital ones.

Today, if you like analog filter, there are the PolyEvolver from Dave Smith and Alesis Andromeda.

Don't forget that now that Waldorf are back, Q+ is back in production too and it has real analog filters. Boy do I want one (and a Pulse too).           When rain dries, clouds form.
