Take a trip into the blissfields of Terra Nine's album 'Breathe.' A New Zealand based masterpiece. Laced with shimmering cascades of beautiful arpeggios & the soulful female vocals
of Aviatrix. Sit back & let the Breakbeats, Psy Trance, Chillout, Dub & Glitchy Basslines drive you through ever changing horizonless soundscapes.
The album begins with Track 1. 'Transmutaion'. Bird song & soft sweeping choral pads awaken the journey. This builds beautifully with guitar arpeggios. At two minutes the beats begin to build & the journey is well & truly underway as crescendos rise & fall.
Track 2. 'Star'. Now within the sonic soundscapes Aviatrix's gentle vocals emerge like the sunrise. The track evolves through many changes driven by progressing rhythms.
Track 3. 'Breathe'. This is where we get airborne. Woven with melodic riffs, sweeps, arpeggios, echoed ripples & Aviatrix's soulful vocals, this is the album's worthy title track.
Track 4. 'Wind'. Pulsing bass, panned instruments, pads & fxs. This is a Psy Trance trip that goes far beyond the genre's repetitions.
Track 5. 'Star' (Squazoid Remix). An excellent remix of track 2. Glitchy basslines & new soundscapes open your minds eye & ears to new vistas.
Track 6. 'Memories Maze' by Astropilot (Terra Nine remix). Opens with choral pads & develops into the strong currents of an imagined memory maze. Aviatrix's vocals blend into the track like watercolours. An apt title & beautiful track.
Track 7. 'Alliance Of Love' by AKD (Terra Nine remix). Aviatrix voices again over a steady rhythm & beat as the track passes through the sonic scapes & evocations.
Track 8. 'Truth'. Is a truly beautiful track that allows Aviatrix's vocals to come to the fore. Double time bass & beats underpinning & driving the sweeping flows of Terra Nine's trademark style. Gorgeous!
Track 9. 'Breathe' (Astro Pilot remix). This remix is akin to the dawn of a new day. Builds masterfully. A seamless journey through lush transitions. A letting go experience. I float along to this.
Track 10. 'Dawn'. Journeys end. The subtlety of the percussion of this track blows me away. The music is dreamtime. Just makes me loop the album over & over
