The Terpsichore Group is happy to announce our next show
Abakus 2.0 Creation .Counts

Abakus 2.0 is a continued effort to increase the awareness of experimental
forms of: visual.audible.musical
>>>>>From 7pm until 10 join us as artists present their sound and video
works.
We have several guests joining us to present works created using various
technological methods. You will not only have the opportunity to view the
art but you will be able to hear each artist speak about how they create
their works and the methods in which they apply to their experimentation.
We are happy to present our special guest Duncan Laurie joining us from
Pennsylvania:
Duncan Laurie (MFA, U of Pennsylvania) is a sculptor who has explored
"Texture" as it applies to sound and visual art for the last 30 years. The
glass techniques Mr. Laurie employed involved the texturing of the surface
of the glass through various carving processes. In 1991 Laurie began
construction on a studio on a seacoast peninsula in Rhode Island. The
building was designed using carefully formulated sacred proportions to act
as a structural link between the powerful natural forces of the site and
the sound technology to be placed within. At this point, the sound
acquisition technology and listening chamber had grown enough to require a
whole floor and be considered a laboratory. Fore more info on Duncan,

John Lario will be hosting the Terpsichore Group and Abakus 2.0 at his
lovely studio in Van Nuys. Mr. Lario is an innovator of Wireless Midi
allowing him to control laser lights and sound with his hands. Mr. Lario
will be doing up close and personal sets of his laser light and sound show
for us. John has traveled with the such groups as Third Eye Blind and In
Sync doing these amazing shows. We will also be showing The Water Wall, a
giant organic projection surface. Mr. Lario has also invented the Singing
Crystal that will be on display for interactive enjoyment.
Tell your friends, to tell their friends to spread the word. This show is
not to be missed... from sound to video to visual to laser beams to beats
to booze... there will be something for your stimulation.
