Media artist Toshio Iwai and Yamaha have collaborated to design a new digital musical instrument for the 21st century, TENORI-ON. A 16x16 matrix of LED switches allows everyone to play music intuitively, creating a "visible music" interface.

I was beta-testing this 2 years ago,and I wasnt too impressed to be honest.

the sound generating on the demos , are not to much what im looking for,
but the interface is realy interesting.

can you buy it for me in japan ?

I saw Atom Heart play live from it the weekend before last

it was fucking awesome!!!
