Hi there,

Been a while, but now I'm ready with a new preview. Sort of an odd mix between progressive psytrance and full on. I've really been battling with the bassline in this one (acoustics here in my living room is definitely not production-friendly), so especially some feedback on that part would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Hey,

as always your great sense of melody and atmosphere prevails, you are really developing your unique touch and sound

That being said, I find the arrangement quite hectic on this one, too much stop and go. I know dancefloors go crazy to that kinda stuff and Captain Hook makes a living of it, but my old ass finds it a bit annoying. Still, great melodies and sounds as always!

As for the bass, I always hate judging bass on soundcloud, but it is kinda undefined around the bottom, especially the part after 4:45, but also before. But it could just be soundclouds compression...           Check out my album: http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/gay-satanic-hippie-tiefenrausch

Hey,
bass definitely has potential but indeed sounds a little bit odd. As if it can't get through properly. Maybe make the notes a little longer? Or open up the cut off of the filter or the decay of the filterenv a little? Is there loads of suboscilator?

The bassline in the end is the only thing that might make it a bit more fullon. Apart from that I 'd def say it is nice spacey proggy stuff!

Nice clear production (besides the troubled bass).           soundcloud.com/supergroover

the part of the 3ple bass needs some velocity work on the first note.. its to high and its blocking the flow.

try to lower the first note to a 25% lower than the second note.

also some velocity modulation on the bassline cutoff would also help making it deeper and not so grainy           http://www.landmark-recordings.com/
