Tempo track troubles

Hello all,

Recently my girlfriend surprised me with a kickass drum sample DVD. On the DVD are loops for each of the drums (kicks, snares, hats, etc) and a Cubase project file that contains a tempo mapping of the entire session.

Basically as the drummer was playing he slightly increased/decreased the tempo as part of his natural groove and it sounds really good. But it's starting to frustrate me in the arrangement phase as to move a bit of drums I have to move the corresponding changes in the tempo track (or other quantized events fall out of sync with the drums).

Is there a way to create a track in the sequencer that would let me view/edit/move tempo events there? It sure would be nice to be able to move my tempo events elsewhere than in the tempo track...

I'm in Cubase SX 2.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that tempo events can only exist in the tempo track. I'm also not sure how good the editing functions are in the tempo track, specifically cut and paste! If you find out, let us know...           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering
