We've done 90% of our work for Naiad Daiad in the same room. Usually my partner has Sonar running on his arrangement on his desktop with a midi cable syncing my laptop, which is the slave. I run ableton, and just build loops and melodies and such, which i then bounce to audio, put on a usb key, and load into Sonar to fuck around with. We both work on the arrangement. And we use my laptop to record instruments, so we can get out of the studio occasionally
we also drink Yerba Mate by the pound. |

If anyone fancies working on a track together PM me. My skills aren't brilliant i have been making music for about 4 months. I use Cubase on a PC. Looking to do a fullon track maybe 142-144bpm.
This isn't so much to make a good track, but more to experiment and see how collaborating online might work out, and to have fun! And if the track is any good then thats a bonus. Anyway, anyone interested let me know : ) |

I made most of my contacts through myspace. I think it's been one of the best learning experiences for me to trade production techniques.
Of course you come across a lot of people who try to con you into making a 3 min track first and then after you send it to them with possibly all your sounds, presets etc..they don't respond back. I don't really believe is exporting everything into waves, no fun in that.

Hi. Been a while.
I found this interesting program called wormhole online; I haven't gotten around to using it yet but it is installed on my laptop and you can slave up to another host over tcp/ip. Worth a look -- I don't know how it runs on the wan, probably has the local network speed in mind.

Please let me know experiences or trouble spots;
