Is club Downtime smaller or bigger than Club 7 in brooklyn? How many floors, How many rooms?
Since it's near 34th st., and close to the epicenter of tourists and wanna-be pornstars, what kind of crowd can we expect to pile in besides the psy-regulars who were at club 7?

Sounds like another solid party is coming up, reviving the NYC trance scene one event at a time, TDC is proving to be a lean mean trance machine with a full tank of psychedelic insanity rip-roaring full speed ahead. Beep Beep

do people who aren't like you bother you so much? I think its great if non-trance people get exposed to trance music, fuck em' if their not into it.
We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love... and then we return home. |

Do you realize you just agreed with me? That's exactly my point. If "they're not into it" and they still pile into the club, much like those people at Avalon, then they have no business being there in the first place.

No, you're saying if they aren't into it prior to attending the club, they shouldn't go. He's saying let them come... if they like it great, if they don't too bad.

As long as the trance crew has the majority @ the club we should be fine, when there's more plastic people than trancers then it becomes uncomfortable. Personaly, i would'nt just let anyone with the cash for the ticket inside our temporary temple, a little sifting and sorting at the door can't hurt. This location is much easier to get to and negates the probable cab fee that may arise when traveling into the jungles of Crooklyn. Party Time is coming! |

Well, I'd post someone at the door to filter out the riff-raff, you know look for signs of brain decay and personal defects, social anomalies and sticking character flaws. Like guys with 30 lbs of hair gel, cheap hookers on their elbows and dust on the rims of their nostrils, characters of middle eastern appearance carrying large duffle bags and reluctant to provide proper identification, over the hill raver girls with leopard print overalls and needle spot heroine marks on their arms, children under the age of 10 unaccompanied by an adult, undercover police officers who keep their hands deep inside their jacket pockets and tell you that, "They've been doing trance since 96". The list goes on and on but I think you get the picture.
Needless to say, I'm only half serious. |

this party is going to be absurdly amazing. its going to be awesome to be able to switch between high quality darkpower and progressive massage music. ..by far my two favorite genres of electronic music. Ok so I was wondering what sort of ID would be required to get in to this so called temporary temple. the problem is i dont want to carry my passport and i left my drivers license in prague(dont ask)....nik? mukti? any ideas....

guys, you've got to be kidding me. This is TDC we're talking about!! their crowd is always the best, and that's because they only promote to the right people.
Tell me, how would an Avalon regular (or tourist, or whoever it is you think is going to show up) hear about this party??
Downtime has no 'regular' crowd - or 'regular' nights. It's not an Avalon, or a Spirit, or (god forbid) a China Club - like you seem to be fearing. It's a club that survives event to event. Nobody just 'shows up' there on the weekends.
Trust me, the guys did right by us, as usual.
Of course, you all know by now that i'm terribly, embarrassingly TDC-dedicated (almost a groupie) - but really - you shouldn't be worried.
Come!!! or else read about how great it was on isratrance the following monday... and then you'll feel sillllllllyyyyyy.....
as you can tell, i can hardly wait........!

Yet another Smashing night coming up for NYC...and the show keeps going on for you lucky folk..nonstop psychedelia and dance. Sounds like its becoming a little island to reckon with..
