Speaking of Dsp's does any of u guys own/tried out the Tc Powercore? How is the quality of the DSP effects on that card? Does it come near the quallity of hardware fx? Would like to know cos were looking for an upgrade for our studio and we are not 100% satisfied with the Vst fx...           Visit our website at: http://www.tegmatekk.com

the best way to upgrade a vst stdio would be to buy 1 powercore element and 1 uad project pack.
the powercore has better reverb and 3rd-party stuff like the new virus, while the uad-1 has better dynamics processing (compressors, limiters). they both offer incredible eq's too. the powercore sounds more clean while the uad sounds more warm and fat. the prices on both of them recently dropped by about 50%, so you can get them both for around $1000. this is less the cost than 1 synth, and you are getting serious plug-ins that are just as good as very high-end hardware gear. some anal mastering engineer might tell you that his $2000 lexicon sounds better than the classicverb on the powercore, but for electronic music i don't think there's any real difference.

since TC is making 90% of their revenue from the powercore, they have decided to discontinue their native line of products and focus all their energy on powercore. this will mean many more cool effects like the recent filroid (very nice filter plug).

Are you serious?!? I hope your mean only TC Works, and not TC Electronics... Their hardware rocks blocks It would be a damn shame to discontinue those...

Amydala, yes just TC Works, not TC Electronics! TC Works has a line of native vst effects that will be discontinued. The high-end hardware side of things from TC Electronics will continue unchanged.
