Diffrent people got diffrent opinions about some things.. I dont think that someone can answer you to the question "what do I need to do so I would get a good one?"..
All you realy have to do is find something you like, the more years you like it the better, since thats how youll know youll never get tierd of it..
For example: I love ....., and Im going to get my tatoo in a week or so, I know that Ill never get tierd of it, since ..... is something I like since I was little...
Another thing you have to think about, how common is my tatoo? do you want other people to have the exact same tatoo youve got? if you dont, NEVER search for tatoos in the tatoo-books they keep in the place, come with an idea, or a picture of what you want, but it shouldnt be too complicated, since the ods it would be pretty on your skin, is little, atleast in my opinion..
You can just come with a picture, and sit with the artist, and ask him to draw it on a papper, and then you can tell him exactly what you want..
Anyhow, if youre going to stick with it, enjoy your new tatoo! Peace =)
