SBK stands for (AFAIK) Sebastian Kruger, the man behind the music. :-) Also one half of Tarsis. Don't remember the other guy's name, but seems to me they broke up. |

Zombi, I don't think that SBK is Techno. Also remember their (sebastian and linus) first project as Digital Sun. AFAIK Sebastian has left Spirit Zone (where all Tarsis albums were released) as a going away present he gave them the SBK - Treibstoff album (Excelent) from then on he started releasing on NovaTekk, but under different name (Tarsis presents G-Lock). linus still produces both for spiritzone (as spacefish) and for Insolation (as Sphere). Sebastian also produced some tracks with Antix (from NZ) under the names BushBumpas (Released on Spiral Trax International) and a clubier project with them as well under the name Submerge (to be released on Transient/automatic???) and is starting to do clubby remixes all around.

ok Boris:
Tarsis - Melt (Global Trance Network 2000) - best Tarsis album no doubt. so, u wrong on first one.
second - yeas, i think SBK project is tekno.
Linnus Wessel realese as Spacefish on Spirit Zone and as Sphere on Insolation but with two more guys...

I like both of them, but Treibstoff was really a breakthrough for Trance. |

yeas right, it was great breakthrough to tekno crowd ppl and trying get dj job at some fashion german tekno club. in fact i know that no tekno dj will not play this stuff never but all the signs show that this music much more tekno than trance (exept Milted Express trak that realy only one trance trak there). 136-138 bpm, three loops every trak, monotone, a lot of club tuchs, no trance drive, simple build of trax, all the tekno sounds and most importent thing - its tekno JumpLeftJumpRight music. somebody can dance it trance a like ??? ahh ??
and i use german therms gradation - everything that no Goa or Psy its Tekno. or House. or Tech-House.
but this descussion for nothing, bottom line we all agree that SBK is great project and lets just enjoy the music.
but, Antaro (his balabayt ;) ) call him tekno producer, Sebastian play at tekno events and his promouting is Tekno leading producer. get your conclussions and im not surprized on this descussion after israels call to Degweed house... |
