i'd say the behringer truth active (the big ones) is nice... because u not gonna be in dry room.. they have the option to play with general eq to solve this problem....

i use tannoy and luv em!!

my friend ben use alesis and also very good one!

so i'd say truth sounds good because of its eq...

tannoy just sounds good...

I can't speak about the tannoys, I've never tried them

I've got alesis and I'm quite happy with them

I also know two different projects that where using Berhinger in their studio, and that have decided to sell and buy alesis and are much happier now

From what I've heard/read the Berhinger are just a cheap replica of the Mackies (cheap in price and cheap in quality...)

Hmm I never tried tannoy reveal but I'm sure that tannoy reveal are considered far more professionel than the Alessis and Behringers. You don't se Behringer truth in studios or Alesis MKII but I've seen lots of smaller studios with Tannoy Reveal.

i think the best solution with the most "friendly"
price is the Mackie 624

in israel only 6600 shekels

all the cheap monitors you will have to replace in
a year or two.

may b a bit unclear.. but sux? take rbass.. play with 45-55 freq.. cant u hear the diffrene? thats what i have those 4... and im sure there is better but hey.. lots of gr8 cd's mixed on tannoy... sure evryone wants dynaudio but keep it real... $$ :\

alesis is gr8 selection.. 3500-3700 as i remember... very good start... may b u will change it in 2-3 years but.. so what u can always sell it..           www.sattelbattle.com

i have a Mk2 Alesis and i like them a lot. it responds from 20hz to 23khz . i've seen in tannoy web site that the tannoy monitors don'nt respond under 45hz or 65hz acording to model.
So i prefer alesis speackers ( imeen M1MkII) because for production i need the better sound range that's posible.
As Orange said Tannoy are not so good for bass mmonitoring( low freq)
about the beheringer i dont know about them.
Tannoy are quite good but Alesis rocks big time as near field monitors for production
boom
