I heard this monitors. And they are great imho.
I´ve never tested a lot of monitors, but I work with a System-800A and I´m pretty satisfied.

yep my friends have the system 800 and they are very good
but for that price i would suggest some active ones the tannoy are passive you know and you will have to bye an amp for them aswell
go for genelecs or dynaudio if you have the money to spend for them they are far better for sure.
mackies are also very good and very close to the system 1000 price and active listen to alot before you decide

Not all Tannoys are passive orange.
System-800A is an active monitor. And I think the System-1000 also has an active model.
And yes, Mackies are great and less expensive.
